My MP Coordiator sent the rates for 2012 directly to my TA.  Earlier on I asked that my MP coordinator cc me on all emails (I'm Type A when it comes to $$).  Plus I want to make sure that we were all on the same page and ensure a great discount.  My TA's prices were pretty much in line with MP.

 

Talk to your TA to see what can be done.  If there is no budge, I highly recommend getting a TA that can match or ensure MP's prices while getting you the perks.

I have had issues trying to get the correct contract from MP and my TA. Moon Palace sent me a group contract with rates for the Superior Deluxe-garden View- Single $410/night, $dbl 446.40/night. And I sent the group contract to my TA and she told me not to do the group contract through them but she would get me a different one, so I am suppose to receive a new contract with rates today but I haven't received anything yet!  Very confusing!

 

Do you have a WC yet? or your date set yet? I tried contacting someone to get the space we want for the wedding and reception but whoever got back to me told me I had to wait until 3 months prior, I was hoping to work around that!

 

The rates I have from Detroit - Cancun for 5 nights its roughly $1600 all together

I just wanted to thank everyone for all the great info on this thread. I found this website two days ago and ended up reading all 58 pages to finally get my act together and booked today!!! Our date is May 4th 2012! I'm so excited but nervous at the same time.  We also had free flights that we had to book by the end of today and realized our only time to go is tomorrow!! We are planning on taking lots of pictures so if anyone has something you want a pic of let me know.  Ekkk, everything is finally starting to happen but all at the same time.

It seems the rate you got is definitely lower than mine. I will talk to the MP directly then. I haven't had my wedding date confirmed yet.

 

What do you mean " from Detroit to Cancun 5 days is $1600 all together"? Are you from Detroit?????????? If so, I am so close to you. I am planning to fly from Detroit.
