WHAT!!?? I had specifically outlined this in an email with her and she goes, well I am sorry that was an error. I am so not happy! I argued a bit and she is "going to work on it" but I may be back to square one with dinner reservations and we are 5 weeks out.

Cross your fingers that she "can make it work." UGHHH!

Speckles121, My TA contacted Michelle Farinas (our Miami contact) and Michelle said that as long as the rooms were available it wasn't a problem.  She said that it's so far in advance that most people wouldn't have an issue booking a day before the contract date.  We actually added extra days after the wedding just in case people wanted to stay an extra day or two.  I guess we didn't think anyone would want to be there 3 days before the wedding. I'm just glad it worked out.

Ditto that!  I love the venue too!  You guys look like you went on a photo shoot for a magazine!

Hey Ladies,

So I'm putting together my invites this Saturday with my sister and I'm anxious to get that done.

I'm also planning on updating our wedding website this weekend.  I haven't touched it since September.

Did everyone do engagement photos?  I have been initially saying that we weren't going to do them, but now I'm rethinking it.  Lately, I've been saying how we don't have a lot of recent pictures of ourselves, so it seems like a nice time to do it.  It also adds more work in finding a local photographer to get them done.

Also, did anyone do boudoir photos?  I have received a few emails from those photographers saying that I "won" a photo session from this bridal show I went to a couple weeks ago.

Valentine's Day was great too!  The future hubby surprised me with an edible arangement on Monday with chocolate covered strawberries and then 2 dozen red roses on Tuesday.  He makes me feel so loved!  That night, we went to see Kevin Hart (a comedian for those of you who haven't heard of him) and he was hilarious!  Definitely the best V-Day I've had.  I hope it was great for you all too!

As some of the other girls have stated, you do not need to pay extra for over 35, unless you do a Tiffany chair.  Also all events are free and you do not need to pay upfront.  That is only for your hotel room.  Which will be reimbursed back to you a couple months later.  I know it's tough!  hang in there chica!!!!

Although ill be getting married on the beach and there is deffinatley pleanty of room, im still concerned that they are going to charge me per chair over 35.

I also heard that they make you pay for the full price of the wedding and private functions FIRST and then REFUND you  a month later....

I dont know!  Im so confused!  A little over 70 days out and still dont have a budget OR  the cocktail hour/dinner area reserved athough I requested them at about 100 days out.

I called to day to speak to the manager and of course was sent to voice mail.
Im really trying to be patient but come on.....  a budget would be nice.

From my understanding the Caribbean Terrace has always been extra/pp.  The only areas that are "free" for dinner are the restaurants and that's for wedding parties 35 and under.  We are only having 20 people and we are paying for a private function to be able to be outside on Tucan Terrace.  Caribbean is even more as they charge an additional PP fee since you have to use stairs to get up there!  I am sorry that you are heard something different, but I have never heard of being able to have a dinner on any of the terraces without paying for it (unless you qualify for free events)

Good luck on the invites!!!

I didn't have engagement photos done, but I am the minority!

I would love to do BD session, but I want to get into better shape, so we shall see!
