Oh well, they never said a DW would be easy.  I am so excited to see your pics and everything Mocha, April in Cancun so excited!

It doesn't feel like it is so close. You ladies are lucky to still have a year. My advice is to buy things as you see them on sale, but keep a list handy of what you have and how you intend to use it. Otherwise, you will keep buying more stuff and forget about what you already bought or even why you bought it.

That's a great idea... now If I can only buy and keep versus getting something else I will be great.  ;-)

I'm ridiculously anal about it.  I have half my OOT bags done even though I know I have purchased too many or too little.  Things I know I can buy more of I bought 10 of and things that I found a rockin' deal on I bought 20.  But I am buying things that will be useful in my day to day life too so I don't feel so crazy.  Even though I want to order my actual bags now I know that I have to wait until way closer.  It sucks because i want to have as much done as possible by January 1, 2012 so that FI and I can take the next 4 months and just chill.

Kelly - I hope I'm not being too imprudent by asking, but would you mind sharing the costs of the wedding packages for La Luna. Thanks to some of the posts on this forum I looked La Luna up and love their work. I, too am considering Rachel. Del Sol also looks amazing, but many have commented how expensive they are. Just trying to figure out if I can afford La Luna in my budget. Thank you so much!

Totally off topic but was wondering if anyone else has tried signing up for the starfish passing thread i think it would be neat to use a starfish that has been passed down by other brides as the something borrowed anyway they have some drama going on on that thread so i got no response lol anyway so wanted to see if anybody else tried and actually got a response.

JLCarrera- Not imprudent at all! That is what this forum is for after all! I have costs for both Del Sol and La Luna actually. I would definitely contact them at some point though. You will fill out  a questionnaire about your day and they will get back to you about what package they think would be best to fit everything in on your big day. Melissa is who you would be talking with, and she is absolutely GREAT! She has answered EVERY question I had (very nicely too), and even helped me with picking a resort by sending me tons of albums of all the photographers' work at various resorts. Anyways, there are quite a few different costs...depending on the photographer and the package. There are a lot of extras also (TTD, albums...etc).

La Luna:

Rachel: from $1650 (3 hours coverage) to $4400 (8 hours coverage)

Jonathan: from $1500 (3 hours coverage) to $4000 (8 hours coverage)

Melissa: from $1200 (3 hours coverage) to $3200 (8 hours coverage)

Playa Del Carmen TTD $1250 all photographers

Del Sol:

Matt or Sol: from $4750 (5 hours coverage) to $6650 (7 hours coverage) TTD $2000 (beach) $3000 (cenote) $3500 (beach & cenote)

Vincent: from $3500 (5 hours coverage) to $4900 (7 hours coverage) TTD $1600 (beach)

Juan Jose: from $3250 (5 hours coverage) to $4550 (7 hours coverage) TTD $1400 (beach)

Hope this helps! We still haven't decided on who we are doing our TTD session with. We are kind of waiting to see what funds will be. If we have the money I want to do a Beach TTD with Matt or Sol....if not I think we will stick with Rachel. We thought about using Juan Jose for our TTD too, but I think they both do great work, so I don't know if its worth the extra $150 to have Del Sol's name. If we use Del Sol we would go ALL the way and want Matt or Sol! I don't know though...tough decisions as they are ALL fabulous!

Good Luck with your planning! :)
