Yes, but both a happy & sad sigh. It's unfortunate that she could t support me even half of what I did for her. But at least the checked cleared. And with that. $ I ordered 2 flower girl dresses & toys for Cesar :/)

I can't believe she is saying you can't use the resort credits for the salon when it says on the palace resort website you can!  Is there anyone else to talk to?  Is Karla the only one we can book through in advance?

Mariachi band for reception. I am so excited! Beatriz has sent me loads of downloads.  I have pictures of wedding locations.  Menu options, platted and buffet.  Spa and salon pack.  Centrepieces options and prices brochures.  Deco cancun services. The new wedding PDF I found very helpful. Full of useful informations.The new wedding brochure for 2012, including the new Colin Cowe collection.  If anyone would like me to email you a copy of anything, please let me know your email address.  I am located in the UK.  I live in Liverpool.  Yes, where the Beatles where from. Ahhhh I can breathe a little now that we have been on our new Health System for 1 week.  My staff  they handled things like a champ. So, as I was going through my pictures trying to get back to "Wedding Planning Countdown" I realized that I did not post our programs.  I ordered raffia fans ages ago as we have people that sweat, so fans had to be.  The program is 3 pages (Ceremony, bridal party, Poem for our Angels in Heaven" 

 

 

I'm also in the process of doing a few DIY projects for the cocktail hr & wedding.  These are my absolute last 2 DIY projects.. well except for the escort cards (format done) just waiting on the final payments that people must make by Feb 3rd.

Okay so one of my bridesmaids gave me a good idea the other day.  I have been going back and forth between doing silk flower arrangements and just waiting until I get to MX and trying to get some fresh flowers at a florist there.  I looked into Marvin too but I thought the prices to be still a little expensive, esp considering his reputation for being late (I didn't want to spend precious vacation hours waiting on him, or make anyone else in our group do so).  My bridesmaid suggest I look into sam's club.  There is a Sam's Club in Cancun and online it says you can purchase 200 white roses for about $200-$250.  That is perfect as I was thinking about doing all white flowers anyways.  So I'm going to call their customer service line sometime and see if I can order them to pick up in cancun and then take a taxi to get them.  I thought that if I didn't have to pay for them ahead of time I could always see what they looked like once we got there and if they were sub-par not pick them up.  Sam's always has beautiful flowers to choose from anyways so even if they won't let me do this I might just swing by once we get there either way.  Plus I could see if they have glass vases to use as centerpieces.  I thought with the extra flowers not in bridesmaids hands I could fill the glass vases with limes and white roses (My colors are emerald green and cream)

 

Bottom line is in my opinion the flowers are just an added beauty that is not necessary at such an already beautiful wedding.  So to me, if this doesn't work out and we end up with no flowers I will not be upset in the least. 

 

Too bad most of you are getting married before me, or else you could wait and see how this idea plays out for me.  I'll keep you posted.

That sounds like a great idea! I bought our flowers from Hobby Lobby they are yellow calla lillies (sp) they look so real and feel pretty real too...they are plastic/rubbery flowers and they were cheap so that is an option for ppl too! They had other types of flowers too! Let us know how the Sams club thing works out!!

I just got assigned to Beatriz as well, but won't be able to talk with her until sometime late February. I'm sp happy you've said she's helpful. I'm also just happy she's agreed to answer questions for me early at all (my wedding isn't until October).
