One recommendation, make sure you book your ceremony 1.5 hrs prior to sunset. Not only will it save your guests from mid-day heat but it will give us AMAZING light for your sunset portraits : ) See Danie + Nicolas Wedding.

Happy Planning!!

Hello Real Resorts Brides & Grooms,

We have scheduled a BDW Wedding Webinar with Gina Johnson from Real Resorts.  She will do a presentation on planning your wedding at Real Resorts (The Royal Cancun, Gran Porto, The Roal Playa del Carmen and Gran Caribe) followed by a Q & A Session.

Wendy Hicks will also be a panelist to discuss the best travel options for you: Group Block vs. Individual bookings vs. Price matching and MORE!

This is a must-attend event if you are planning a wedding at a Real resort.

There will also be a small gift for those that attend the webinar and get married at one of the Real Resorts listed.

Reserve your spot today because space is limited.  You can find more info: Real Resorts Wedding Webinar (The Royal Cancun, Gran Porto, The Roal Playa del Carmen and Gran Caribe)

We just got married at the chapel in December and it was more beautiful than we ever could've imagined with the ocean views, glass windows, flower petal aisle. Who would've thought that a religious wedding could still be romantic and dreamy? The stairway entrance and walkway down the aisle was totally fine because you walk down the side stairs and then around to the top of the chapel entrance - so you still get your full walk down the aisle.

I had my hair & makeup done at the resort spa - it was included in the royal catholic package. I was also very nervous and hesitant about the outcome, but I was ecstatic and super happy at what a great job they did. Don't worry about using them. They totally know what they're doing. I saw 2 other brides while I was there and they looked stunning too.

For our hotel bookings, we also found it less expensive through our AAA travel agency. Our flights were cheaper on expedia.

We had an outside photographer, Amorcito Corazon Studio, much better than the resort photographer (pictures & prices). We loved them and highly recommend them. There were some great pictures of the chapel in our slideshow: http://mylenearturo.amorcitocorazonstudio.com/#/ceremony/

I am planning to have my catholic wedding at the GCR by december, my most important concern is that i would like to know how many time in advance i should give the permission paper to marry (the one we get after doing the prep talks) to our wedding coordinator.

I will be getting married at the Gran Caribe on 7/27/13 in the chapel and then having my reception on the Albatros Terrace!  ONE of my many concerns is hair and make-up for myself and my bridal party! Do you think the Spazul could accommodate 10 people (bridesmaids, myself and mother) for hair and make-up? Has anyone had this many people? Please let me know! I'm glad to hear how happy you were with the work they did though!

Hey Ladies!

My FI and I are thinking about getting married at the Chapel (it looks absolutely beautiful!), but we are wanting to stay at a different resort. Is it possible? Or do we have to stay at the resort at least the day OF the wedding, and for the remainder of the time stay at a different resort? Also, would that affect the price of the package? I wonder since there is an "outside guest fee", if we end up being able to stay at a different resort but just have the ceremony/reception there, do we have to pay that "outside vendor fee"?

Thanks in advance for your answers!

Hi Diana, TA Wendy here.. the perfect answer would be to have you stay at the Adults only sister property to The Gran Caribe, The Royal .. it is right next door, is awesome and you would still be able to use the chapel. If you have any guests bringing children you could have them stay at The Gran Caribe.

If I can be of help to you at all in pricing or discussing the options for group booking, just PM me!

Best regards,

TA Wendy
