Hi Jessi,

 

I actually sold a lot of my decor to a girl living in Playa del Carmen who was getting married in May. Most of what I have left is listed on ebay - I have a white wedding hanger that says 'bride' in the wire with a flower on it, I have a gold sequin tablecloth that I used for the cake table (96" round), I am selling my veil too! If any of that interests you, let me know

 

Doremixx was just much cheaper than the resort DJ (and included things like the balloons which were a fun extra), and I couldn't find any reviews or info. on the resort DJ, so I felt comfortable going with Doremixx and it saved quite a bit of money.

 

I meant to check out the ballroom and never did! I was definitely a sweaty bride haha.. at 12:30am I changed into a white bikini and partied the rest of the night like that!

If that is breif, I can't wait to see what your actual review entails.  Appreciate reading all you wrote.

 

Sounds like you were able to represent on the partying front.  My wife and I were so spent from the days that we didn't last much past midnight/1am most nights.  Plus we knew there was many things to do the next day and it wasn't worth being too hungover.

 

And I agree it doesn't seem like you have much time for yourself when only there for one week.  Would love to go back and play a tonne of golf and check out the new spa.  We didn't even make it to Cancun to play the 45 Jack Nicklaus holes.  I can see how the resort credits are not quite as valuable to those who aren't going to golf, but there is still plenty to spend them on.

 

Did you deal with Wilma at all? just curious if she is still there as she was so accomodating.

 

Although I am not sure they advertise this space, I would just like to add that for groups 50 and under La Villa Suite is a perfect size venue. South end of hotel, on the 5th floor with a huge balcony overlooking the ocean.  Only downfall is you have to move party at 10-11pm.  I thought that was the case with the beach receptions as well, but maybe not?

I actually did deal with Wilma a bit through emails (she was amazing) and I wanted her as my WC, but when it came time to finally be assigned one, Wilma had been promoted, and is no longer a WC. Bad for me (and future brides/grooms) but good for her lol!

 

I had read you could stay on the beach till 2am (everywhere else outside is 11pm), and then they tried to get me to end the wedding at 12am, and I pushed and got 1:30am. But the same night as my wedding there was another wedding on the other side of the beach until 2am!

Hi PP Birdes! My wedding is in November and i was wondering if any of you have used the PP resort spa/Salon to get your hair and/or make-up done? If so, what did you think? Any help/advice would be much appreciated!

I am getting married in Nov as well...I am using Styling Trio....not sure if I will have to pay an outside vendor fee? So he has a condo close by he said. I just got my WC today her name is Dulce.......whats your date? Mine is Nov 18,2013......I think we are also going to use an outside DJ
