Hey Lovely Ladies!

I'm new to this website, and find it SO useful! Knowing you ladies are going through all the same things makes me feel better!  Anyways, I have always battled with my weight, and of course now that I am planning a wedding (in a beach setting no less), I am DETERMINED to lose the weight and be one sexy bride! That being said, I have tried just about EVERY diet out there! So far I had the most sucess with Atkins, and more recently HCG (http://hcgdietinfo.com/HCG_Diet_Simeons_Manuscript.htm). I did a 23 day round of HCG in Sept and lost 13lbs! I am 25, 4'11, and at my heaviest I was 168. At the end of my HCG round I was 143lbs. I would like to lose another 30lbs or so.... we have not set a date yet, but we are shooting for NOV 2011....just under a year to get into shape! Anyone else who is doing this diet, I would love to start a support group with lots of tips, advice, recipes and more!

Good luck to all you brides out there!

Kelly

Tomorrow marks the beginning of my second round of HCG. I plan on doing the 40 day round this time. Tomorrow is day 1 of loading, and Monday will be day 1 of the Very Low Calorie Diet.

I went to the store and bought all the essentials: lean meats, celery, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, asparagus, honeycrisp apples, strawberries, Tazo Passion Tea, and stevia!

I will post regularly on how it is all going! Here's to New Years resolutions, and have a great New Year!

Hello Kimberly!

Its good you are doing your reasearch! I did the same thing before I decided to give it a try. There are a couple essential (I think) sites to look at.

First off, if you haven't already, read "Pounds and Inches" by Dr. Simeons (the original manuscript and founder of the diet)

http://hcgdietinfo.com/HCG_Diet_Simeons_Manuscript.htm

Also what helped me the most, was this support group for HCG dieters. It has LOADS of info on the diet itself (best places to get HCG, recipes, do's and don'ts) and of course support.

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/HcgDieters/

It is not a hard diet to do if you are prepared! I never felt hungry, and I didn't really have any cravings. I just made sure I prepared a least a couple days worth if meals ahead of time, and I never had a problem!

How much weight do you want to lose? I want to lose about 35lbs, so I want to take my time and make sure I don't put too much pressure on myself (time wise). Our tentative date is 2/14/12... we are waiting to get the OK from Moon Palace.

Good luck! If you decide to do it, I will be here for any questions or help you need!

Hi Kelly,

Thanks for info. I read through Pounds & Inches about three times, (concentrating on the diet section to the end). I need to actually purchase a digital scale for me and the food LOL.  I also wanted to buy the supplies that I can't just fiind at the grocery store ie, liquid stevia (flavored), the breadsticks and some of the beauty products that can be used while on vlcd. Once I get all my supplies i will be ready.

I want to lose 30lbs. I really want to go dress hunting soon. I will definitely check ouot the link you posted.

How was your first loading day?

Good luck and thanks again for te info

Hey Kimberly!

I have a few more websites I can PM with things like where to order HCG, recipes, and where to get flavored stevia.

You can get Grissini bread sticks and Melba Toast (Sesame is the best!) at the grocery store...you just have to know where to look! I would go in and ask them. For some reason they like to put these particular products in weird places.

The scale is definitely SUPER important! I used both of them EVERYDAY! I got my personal scale at Target for $30 (Its Taylor I believe) And I was given a really great digital food scale...Unfortunately I lost the booklet with all the different codes for food. But the most important thing you really need to do is weight it anyways.

First day of loading was successful! As fun as it sounds, if it's done properly, it's actually very hard to do. From the time I woke up until I went to bed, I was gorging ALL day long. Even though it was foods I love, by afternoon, the LAST thing I wanted to do was eat. I got a pretty bad stomach ache, and just had to force more food down! One more day to go and I will be starting the VLCD on Mon! I'm actually looking forward to it!

Keep up the research...the more prepared you are the more successful you will be! Good luck!!!

Kimberly-

It is no problem at all! I understand what it's like to be new to this diet (or anything for that matter!) and the MANY questions I had. Just having support makes all the difference! Keep me posted on how you are doing. I will be updating weekly on my progress!

UPDATE!

Loading the first 2 days was tough! You'd think it would be fun to eat all your favorite foods ALL day long...but it is not easy! Even though you feel that sickening fullness, you have to keep eating! Over the 2 loading days I gained 2.4lbs...not too bad considering!

As of today, I have been on HCG for week! It has been a tough week (kinda hungry the first couple days) and tonight I slipped and had some Milk Duds and Popcorn at a movie we went to tonight (OOPS!!). Ugh...as on any diet, you just want to smack yourself after you eat something you shouldn't, but I won't see the damage until tomorrow when I weigh myself! BUT I will just get back on the band wagon and not let myself completely fall off course.

Week One: down 5.6 lbs (after loading)!

PLEASE Lord don't let my cheat totally mess me up! :)
