Money behind the Bar or Charge per Guest?

Hi Everyone! 

 

I am curious to get peoples opinions on the Drinks plan

 

Should we 

 

A.    Put money behind the bar and let the bar be open until the tab runs out

 

OR

 

B.    Pay per guest for an open bar

 

???

 

Normally in the UK we would put a set amount, say £1000 behind the bar and let the tab run dry but I'm not sure if the other option say paying $30 per guest for 2 hours of open bar would be better? 

 

Any thoughts?

 

Also what premium drinks are you expecting at your wedding?

It depends...Are your guests big drinkers? If they are I would just pay the per person fee. But if you are only looking at 2 hours and they are not big drinkers then putting the set amount should do. Good luck!
