Bridal shop burned down... ALONG WITH MY DRESS!

Recommended Posts

I maybe jumping in a little late but I am so sorry to hear that!  As you say it is such a sad thing for brides who were getting married this weekend.  I believe that you will find a dress that will make you as happy or even happier than the one you had originally chosen.  I wish you luck and I know that everything will work out for the best!  If you were closer we could go dress shopping together. I have been postponing the inevitable for months now!

Good luck and best wishes.

Really hope this works out for you! Just remember that when you look in your photo's, it'll be the style of dress that your'e looking at rather then the actual material that it was made out of. I'm sure it will all be fantastic and you'll look fab on your day!

I can't believe that happened! I'm so happy you are getting the customer service you deserve. I feel awful for the owners and all the brides. The donation idea is fantastic and I'm sure people who know those brides would offer their dresses as well. Congrats on getting everything taken care of- please post pictures of your dream dress her when you get it!!!

When I saw this on the news my first thought was of fellow BDW brides....I'm so glad that they are able to get dresses for you girls it's really a blessing..I heard on the news they said they dress shop has 40 years of good relationships with the designers and that's why they were able  to make it happen...I feel for everyone who lost a dress and the employees and owners of the company.... I'm so glad to hear you have a good attitude about it and not say this is the worst thing to happen ever - I hope there are no bridezillas yelling about this - accidents happen and thank God no one was killed and that it wasn't a daycare or something that burned down.. there are worse things that could happen and good things come to people like you who are positive and kind! I wish you the best with your wedding ! (Are you the only one on here who lost a dress?)

Thank you for your kind words!  I don't know if I'm the only one on here, but I do know that at least one or two girls did not get their dresses by the big day!  I feel so awful for them.  I hope something worked out.  I made a Christmas wish on Lite FM that any girls who did not get their dress get a gift from them.  This radio station grants all these wonderful wishes during the holidays!  It always makes me cry!

I hope they get something...where's Oprah when you need her? :) So what happened to the girls? Do they get another dress from the store? Do they get a refund? Did they have to just find something off the rack? I was thinking local bridal shops would take pity - hopefully they don't feel "You should've come here in the first place!"

This story is crazy but sounds like a good ending for most of the brides involved. Of all the things that I've heard of to go wrong for a wedding, this is a first for the wedding dress shop burning down. As someone previously said, it's a blessing no one was hurt in the fire.
