COBA hotel Riviera Maya Mexico WEDDING 2011

Recommended Posts

Has anyone out there stayed at the Coba hotel or got married there?

We will be staying at the Coba and gettting wed in april 2011 at the Akumal beach.

We are stuck for ideas on post reception entertainment etc. We have the dinner reception area 5:30-7:30 then we get the impression that the party within the package stops there??!!! So we have been offered to hire the private pool area for $200 DJ per hour then it seems to be $24 per person per drink per hour. This seems steep bearing in mind we're all inclusive.

Anyone's help will be very much appreciated!!

I stayed at the Coba a few years ago and absolutely loved the resort.  I'm thinking of getting married there in 2012.  When we were there in 08 they had a Mexican Fiesta on Thursday nights, if memory serves me right it was $20 per person.  It sounded like a great time, but unfortunately that night there was strong rain and wind so they had to cancel it.  I was thinking about getting married on Thursday and then buying tickets to the Fiesta for all my guests.

Hi,

We have been to the Coba a few times and absolutely love it. We actually just renewed our vows in October with a Mayan Blessing ceremony I cannot tell you how amazing this ceremony is! It is really about the bride and groom and their connection. My husband is still raving about it so you know it had to make an impression!  Anyways at the Coba there is a place called the Premier Lobby bar. They have a live band in the evening and a big dance floor.  There is open air seating if you prefer to dance under the stars.  It is our favorite evening spot to meet up and have drinks and hang out.  The bands are always good and your drinks are obviously all included.

Do you know who your wedding planner is yet? We had Karla and her assitant Fer ( Fernanda) they were really incredible! you really don't have to worry about a thing.  Hope this helps if you have any other questions  about the location or tours or anything let me know.  Congratulations.
