Has anyone out there ordered Carlson Craft invitations off of the internet? Brooke and I spent quite a bit of time printing and creating our Save the Dates, but when it came time to finding invitations, we cut it a bit too close. After our initial option failed to pan out, we were left in a position where we needed to order invitations very quickly...So, we found invitations that we liked on the web and ordered them.

Most Carlson Craft invitations can be seen at card and party stores, however, this particular invitation is in their newest "high-end" line (according to the manufacturer) and is only available through online retailers. So we felt many of their invitations and paper weights, to check for quality, and felt that we were pretty safe.

Has anyone out there had good/bad experiences with their invitations if they've ordered Carlson Craft ones?

*phew* That was a help. Our invitations are due to arrive by Friday of next week and we have to send them out IMMEDIATELY afterwards. I'm thinking about doing something DIY and fun with a ribbon and seal to personalize them a bit more....

Gen, now don't laugh. I ordered from Carlson Craft in 1970 for my 1st marriage. God, that makes me sooo old! They were very clasic off-white engraved invitations. I think they were lovely. The quality was great. My point in all of this is, they have been around at least 37 years so they must be doing something right.

Relax and enjoy. You are going to have soo much fun addressing, licking stamps, and mailing them out. LOL! Your idea of adding your personal touch to them sounds great. You will know better how you may want to incorporate this once you see them in person.

Congratulations, you are one step closer to being a married couple. BTW, are you ordering a Ketubah or another type of marriage certificate? I am just curious cuz I have seen some gorgeous ones online.

Take care,

Lizzy

Well everyone, the invitations should be shipping tonight and we should hopefully *fingers crossed* be receiving them on Friday! Woo-Woo!

Thank you to everyone who left positive remarks on this thread to calm me down. I appreciate it. I hate ordering things offline when you don't know the quality, especially when they're this important!

Lizzy - We are planning on ordering a Ketubah. Would you mind sharing your links? =)

  • 4 weeks later...

As an FYI, in the event that anyone ever searches the forums for answers about Carlson Craft invites, I will say that our invitations were gorgeous.

They arrived and we pretty much ripped the box open to get a look at them. The quality is fantastic! We also took advantage of Carlson's guest address printing service (expensive but well worthwhile) and that was fabulous as well. We added a personalized touch to our invites with organza ribbon which made a huge difference and all of our guests are still talking about how gorgeous the invites are...And they received them weeks ago.

So again, thank you everyone for your input. :)
