Group Rate Info with my std magnet

I ordred std magnets that have our date and website on them.  In addition to the magnet, I want to mail a flyer stating the group rates.  I want it to be something simple but nice.  I have a photo that I'm thinking of using as the background.  My questions are:

 

1.  What computer program can I used for this.  (Preferably one that's free.)

2.  What type of paper should I buy?  Glossy?  Any brand in particular?

 

I do have a nice color printer I recently purchased so these should come out nice.  I just need some guidance because I've never done anything on the computer like this before.

Have you checked out Vistaprint to see if they have anything that fits what you're looking for? That way you can design it and have them print it so you don't have to worry about the paper. And if you go when they're having a sale you can get it free (+ shipping)
