Beaches ~ Turks & Caicos Roll Call!

Recommended Posts

The one hour was nice because honestly they don't rush you to finish right at an hour, it's very relaxed. We actually stayed longer than an hour and then went straight to our dinner reservations. My wedding was supposed to start at 3, but as all brides doing a DW should know, that is island time so mine didn't start until closer to 3:30...the ceremony wasn't long at all, then the signing of the papers, and them pictures and then we did the cocktail hour. Then dinner. If I could do anything over I would have had my wedding ceremony earlier so that I had more time after for pictures alone with my new hubby. It started getting dark fast after the cocktail hour. The iPod dock to rent was I think $150/hour. My husband wanted to kill me for spending that but we didn't do a DJ or alot of other things we cut expenses on. They provided our sand ceremony, you pick the colors you want. The jar is plain with Martha Stewart Weddings etched on the one side. We still have our sand in it at home but turned so you can't see the etching. The plane ride home jumbled it all up so the sand looks nothing like when we had our ceremony LOL. But again another part of having a DW. For the appetizers they have a ton to choose from and they were ALL delish that we got. You can tell the wedding coordinator about allergies and they will keep them away! All the guests loved our apps. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions!!

Did you get beer & alcohol at the cocktail hour? If so did you have to pay per person? Did you think 1 hour was enough? Im thinking about having it 2 hours and paying the difference so it is a little longer. What kind of appetizers were they? My fiance is highly allergic to shellfish so I will have to specify that!! Also how much did you have to pay for the ipod dock? My wedding is at 2, I hope I have enough time for everything! What time was yours at? Did they supply the stuff for the sand ceremony? If yes was it nice? I really appreciate your help! its making me feel much better!!! :)

New here! My FI and I are FINALLY getting married after being engaged for 4 yrs (together for 9). Very intimate wedding, with our 3 children and close family only. Thinking of having a "ceremony in the round". We only just booked and our wedding is set for May 16, 2013, so not much time! We will be doing the Beautiful Beginnings. I want lilac as my wedding color, so this should go well with the flowers they provide?

I brought my own photographer. They must be on the property for two nights in order to be there. SO WORTH IT! My photographer was a friend, she stayed the whole trip, and took pics of the whole weekend! I highly suggest it! So fabulous

I will bring my photog!!! When all will be done.. Only the pictures will be there so I want beautiful memories!

Can any recent brides fill me in on the Turks and Caicos departure tax? I'm writing up a newsletter for guests and would like to give them a heads up if they will need to pay for this at the airport. I've seen the tax listed anywhere between $20 and $60 pp and am also curious if UK citizens are exempt from paying this.

Also wondering what the price of Internet access is if anyone knows..

Thanks!

Departure Tax is one of those "taxes and fees" included in the price of your airline ticket.  No one is exempt, it will be part of the price of your plane ticket.   So when booking flights, some airlines quote "flights" only, and then when you go to pay for them, the price increases because of all of the various airport taxes and fees.    Other airlines will give you an estimate with taxes and fees, but all airlines will charge and collect that when you pay for your flights.
