Hi Ladies!!

Just wondering if anyone has used the photographers on Beaches for their wedding photos!  I def want tropical imaging to do some of our photos....but I'm thinking of having the Beaches photographers do our photos at least of the ceremony!!  Any thoughts!!??

Also, what was your general budget and did you stick to it? :) Thanks!

Actually we have a lot of places on island that you can get married that are not in front of Big Hotels etc.   Grace Bay beach down near Leeward is a quiet spot near a residential area so no hotels.  Also Sapadilla and Taylor Bay are quiet for the most part but there are villas around .   People that get married there are usually renting one of the homes and then get married on the beach in front of it.  Long Bay Beach is not far from Grace Bay.   You can also charter a boat and get married on one of the uninhabited cays nearby. The Leeward part of Grace Bay is about a 1-2 mile drive from the main hotels.   You can arrange for the officiant/bouquet etc, we have 3-4 different officiants on island, all within the same price ranges and a couple of florists for flowers if you aren't bringing your own.

This is a recent private ceremony Kellie did a few weeks ago in Leeward (there's one photo with the set up to see what it looks like)

And a smaller Boat/Cay wedding

Here's a villa wedding at Sapadilla Bay

There are a lot of examples on our blog, our internet is slow tonight so I can't pull a lot up but if you search "leeward" "long bay" "taylor bay" "sapadilla bay" and "water cay" you'll find more samples of weddings on our quieter beaches.   However remember, Even Grace Bay beach is fairly quiet compared to most beaches in the world!

Hope that help you visualize options.  Happy Planning!

Hi karamae,

About your concern over having an intimate wedding at Beaches T&C, from what I understand, when you get married on the resort, you can do a small intimate wedding option with you and your groom, an officiant and bouquet with your very immediate family on the beach away from everyone. Usually when you get married through Beaches, they set everything up for you and allow you to do a walk through to decide exactly where you want to get married. If you want to get married on one of the smaller outer islands, your WC on the resort would have to speak with the Weddings Manager to set up your small ceremony by the shore.  Theyâ€re all pretty accommodating at Beaches though and their beach weddings are very intimate, but if you can choose your own set up, then itâ€s a win-win situation for you.  Right now beaches is doing a beautiful beginnings package where your beach wedding and honeymoon is actually free with your booking.  I saw it on the link here

I hope this helps!

Thank you so much Krys! I just don't see why everything that says "wedding" has to be so big and expensive! Seems like the hotels charge a ton just put together a simple ceremony. I'd definitely looking for something more low key and simple. I love all the pictures you posted for me to see! :)
