Beaches ~ Turks & Caicos Roll Call!

Hello Ladies! I just booked my Beaches Turks & Caicos wedding for May 16th! All I can say is overwhelming! There is so many options! I am not using a TA and am going right through Beaches for all my planning. This website made my decision to book so easy :) Some details I already have worked out is I am booking with Tropical Imaging. I knew I wanted my pictures done by them before I even decided on Beaches! As of right now I have about ten guests coming. My wedding is booked for noon with the 30 minute reception after wards. That way my guests would have the rest of the day to do whatever they would like and we could all meet up for dinner at one of the restaurants after my fiance and I leave the resort for our pictures.

Any helpful hints would be terrific!

Oh I am scheduled to have my planning consult with Roxi in November. Are there any specific questions I should be asking that other brides have found helpful. I already have a notepad with four or five already and I'm barely into looking at all my options! So excited!!

Thank you! We'll be going Saturday May 12th to the 19th! To be honest I'm a little nervous about the noon time frame. I had the option of noon, 1, 2 and 3 but my fiance wanted to do it earlier so we would have the rest of the day to do our photographs and reception. He doesn't want to be running from one thing to the next. We'll see!

We picked the 3pm because I wanted it later in the day...do pictures right after and then have the reception around 5. This way it was dinner time...and after the reception probably go to one of the bars or the nightclub

Has anyone inquire or had a sand ceremony?  I want to include my son in the ceremony.  I think to know if containers for the  sand ceremony are packed for you once the ceremony is done.  Can you pick the color of the sand?  Are the containers nice?  I can't tell exactly what they look like from the brochure.  

 

I saw a thread about the scripts.  When I talk to Roxy, will she be able to provide the scripts.  I would like one that is more family oriented since I am including my 8 year old son.  This is one of the reason we chose Beaches.  We want him to be a big part of the wedding.

So I'm closer to 90%on going with Beaches Turks and Caicos for our June 2013 wedding however I have many questions...

 

any response to these questions would be help, sorry in advance for so many:

 

PLANNING
-Did you use a travel agent?
-I'm expecting around 75+ guests, is beaches accommadating?
-Is there a group rate and if so was it considerable afforable for guests?
-Does Beaches give you options for 2 per room, 3 per room, 4 per room, 5 per room?
-What length of stay did you offer for your guests 4d/3n, 5d/4n or 6d/5n?
- What invitation style was the did you use for you guest?

WEDDING DETAILS
-How can we have Tropical Imaging cover the entire wedding at Beaches?
-Are you all using another wedding coordinator aside from Beaches?
-What did you do for video?
-As far as extra flowers for bridemaids (i have 8 and 3 flower girls) can beaches add that to your packages?
-I like the beautiful beginnings package, it seemed lovely and simple, however my wedding colors are aqua blue and fuschia pink how accomadating is Beaches with changing flowers and decorations?

[Tropical Imaging]

I can answer one of your questions:  in order for TI to cover your entire wedding at Beaches, a room must be booked in the photographers name for 3 nights minimum.   We have had brides do that and book a low rate room and use it for a gathering place/storage place etc or overflow of guests (we won't actually stay there, but it just needs to be in the name of the photographer).  Then you just book whatever package you want with us directly.   If you email Ileana, she can give you the full details on that bit.
