For the brides who have been married on the beach at Turks & Caicos, did you wear shoes or go barefoot?  If you went barefoot, was the sand really hot?  We are getting married at 12 noon, and I know sometimes sand can get really hot and I am wondering if I need to plan to wear shoes or not.

How long private reception are you doing? And what have you decided on music..i know at one point i remember you saying somthing about the calypso band....let me know!!!

I plan on doing the nice flip flops.

Lizz, we are still undecided on the 2 or 3 hour reception and we are doing the calypso band Im just not sure when I want them to play

Lizz - not sure which Brandy you were asking - I am doing the 2 hr Oceanside lunch buffet.  We are having a steel pan player for the ceremony and then the calypso band for 1 hour during the reception.

I would like to do the calypso band too, sometime during the two hr reception....but not sure when..Is the begining better when everyone is getting drinks and mingaling, or the last hour? I just dont want them to be playing during the plated dinner, i dont think people will enjoy it that much, and we are big talkers anyway so no one will be paying attention...thoughts?

Oh and Timswife....did you recently get that new wedding menu info? I got my kit back in October-ish and i have the old dinner options....just wondering when they changed it, and if they have changes anything else i should be aware of
