I was thinking about this resort as well as Iberostar Rose Hall Suites, but wanted to try GPJ because no one had ever visited this resort and pictures are beautiful.  But have a big problem with lack of communication and not sure I want to chance this with my BIG day.  However, just fell in love with the view.  Also, since we might need to purchase day passes for some guests, they seemed to have the lowest priced versus other venues.  Anyone have suggestions about how to deal with finding venue to accommodate FI guests who reside in JA and don't need hotel accommodations, but forced to purchase a pass?

Hi daphodil if you are having a lot of local guest I suggest trying to find an offsite location.  There are some local coordinators that could help you find a location and price out everyting for you.  Try Dawn Sherman from Jamacia Elegant Weddings.  There are other local coordinators/planners if she doesnt work for you.

I know this is an older thread however, I do have to say that the new wedding staff has been on top of everything for me and my FI. To the point that they have even talked to my mother and dealt with her "VISION" of our day lol

 

I had originally dealt with Nina when we were dated for last August 2011, but Im am very happy with the staff that is there now. We are getting married at the GPLH april 14th 2012 in the gazebo, Natalie Green who is the W/C manager has been very involved with me and her response time is never more than a day. Nine times out of ten she gets back to me the same day.

 

I just wanted to refresh this thread, and put other GPLH brides to ease.

Hey ladies,

 

I do not want to scare any of you because I am sure every experience is different, but, I must warn you that I was disappointed in the Grand Palladium.  My wedding was a week ago, and the service at the resort wasn't very good.  But, it is beautiful.  If you would like to read about my experience, my review is up in the "Resort Reviews". 

 

I hope and pray you girls have a better experience than we did.  Let me know if there is anything I can do to help!

Great review, and I must commend you for carrying it all together.  I know this thread is fairly old but hope that things have turned around at the GP.
