Disazaja just a bit of clarification on the table set up, is this what your tables will look like? Are all the table clothes this sort of satin finish or is that extra? How much are they charging you for colored napkins? Is this the centerpiece your going for and how much is that? Oh and the chairs, these are like $6 a chair? Gosh can easily go over your budget on the table decor alone! When she sends you pics of the lanterns from this weekends wedding can you please post? Thanks again!

TRivera, this was just a table they had on their office. I took pictures of how they setup the tables, like the decorative plates, napkins, utensils, etc.

 

I chose white tableclothes, the one with texture (pic attached btu in green)... and a green apple runner since my wedding theme is all tropical colors, gold tiffany chairs, and gold decorative plates.

 

 

 

I think the napkins are white and I didnt really ask for other colors since white goes with my decoration.

 

That centerpiece was pretty but those werent real flowers, so it is definelty something they can get from their vendors if you are interested. Just as an FYI, the mirror below the centerpiece is extra! surprise!  yes! those are the 5.5 chairs... they have different colors too... white, silver, gold, and brown, you can also add a ribbon to them (also extra).

With the tangerine package -does the table runner, chair covers with ribbon come with it?

I havent been on here in a while but I want to thank everyone of you for all your posts they are really great help throught this process.

 

Dizajaya your review was a BIG help makes me feel at ease being that I am not doing a prior visit . (LOVE the hairdo BTW) Just out of curiousity if you dont mind. How much was your airfare? I keep looking and its so high right now. The last time i went to DR i only paid like $350 roundtrip nonstop. I see its in the $600-$700s right now EEK.

nordero I am having the same concern as this will definetly impact our guests attendance. Jetblue just released their airfare for May and its $700!! Although when we first started looking it was $400, all other sites are showing $500. Sigh just not sure if they will go up or come down as we get closer??? What has everyone elses experience been with airfare?

Airtran always has good deals and you just have to watch out for them. So be on the look out! I have seen tickets as low as 159 one way!

I am exactly 52 days away from my wedding day!!! OMG!! I am going crazy.  I really hope everything works out fine and everybody has a good time.

Girls what have you thought for the welcome bags?  I am having a hard time figuring out what to get for our guests.  How about activities planned for/with them? Have you booked any?

 

Is anybody doing the crazy hour?

 

Does anybody has any info about how to put together a program for a Catholic ceremony?  Do we get to choose the readings and songs or do they give us that info?

We visited the resort back in March. We had reservations at several of the a la cart restaurants; steak house, seafood, and Japanese. They were all decent but I would highly recommend the Japanese, the food was great and it is all prepared on the grill in front of you. Not sure how many guests you would be accommodating? The tables around the grill seat about 12 people but maybe they can put something together for you. The other option I thought was really nice was The Cava, It is located between the Seafood restaurant and the Steak house (visible through glass doors off of both restaurants) I think you could probably order from both menus because of where it is situated. It looked like it had its own private balcony, and it seats about 14 people and there is an additional cost of $35  per person. I'm considering this option myself or maybe the Jellyfish restaurant that a few people have mentioned. But I'm not sure what the cost would be for the Jellyfish or how long a drive it is from our resort? As for the beach ceremony; I did see one while I was there, I wasn't planning one myself so I didn't pay to much attention. If memory serves me it was located to the right of the pier (looking out at the ocean of course)  in front of the small adults only pool (if that helps at all?). It was nice and didn't seem to have to many tourists around.

 

Disazaja, Thank you for your review it was really great to hear about the hair and makeup, as well as the food. I wasn't thinking that far ahead when I was there and am really kicking myself now!
