So...I was told that to reserve the date for my wedding I have to send the reservation page via mail to them...this seems a little bit efficient to me, how long did it take everyone to get confirmation on their dates after they mailed it?!

SamDC, i don't think any of us actually snail mailed the form. I know I emailed it and got a confirmation regarding my date about 3 days later. The only thing is now I'm waiting for Susana to get back to me so we can work out the details.

 

 

Girls, I may have missed it, but does anyone know if the WC performs the symbolic ceremony? Or do we have to find someone?

Pretty sure she does it, or either provides someone. But you are also welcome to have your own person do it. Also there are beach set ups, reception colors and set ups and centerpiece pictures if you go back in this forum. Just no prices. They ALWAYS say request the price for what you want. Annoying they dont just have a set price list. 

 

Sam I emailed my dates. I have not done anything with them through the mail. And after I paid my deposit there was no contract that came after. It was like they just said yeah okay done. So a little weird and uncomfortable. 

 

Also my TA is going there this next week for a wedding so hoping she will be able to get me alot of answers and Ill share with you guys!

so I got the following clarifications from Lianny... the DJ has 2 flares not fireworks (she just used the wrong word) and she is getting me prices for chinese lanterns but not the ones that have candles/light inside... Im attaching a pic of what I sent her as reference.... I just wanted to add some more color... these are allowed.

To have a wedding on the beach is $345 EXTRA. If I can put in my two cents, It's not worth it. Both locations (the beach gazebo and the actual beach) are dead center of the resort and there is absolutely no privacy. I saw a couple of weddings set up and you have the aisle....and then a fat European in speedos. I got married in the garden and it is absolutely secluded and best of all.. private. If that's something you might be interested, that could be an option. I just got back last week, I also had Susana. Everything was fine except she was running half hour behind and the judge almost left! I included an image for you guys.

Ugh! Thanks for the info Samsbride! I really do have my heart set on beach tho. We'll see if that changes in the next couple of months. Congratulations!!!!! What a beautiful picture.

I would definitely see what they mean about fireworks because if you are having your reception at Bar Higuey, I don't think there is anywhere immediately adjacent to it that they could do fireworks - I assume they'd set them off at the beach and you might be able to see them from BH?  They'd have to be pretty huge - there are a lot of trees and greenery around BH.

Your friends look like they were having a blast!!! Seeing all your  pictures brings some relief, shows that everything will turn out just fine because right now I was feeling a little worried lol If you don't mind, could you let me know how was the DJ service? What type of music did they have? Thanks!!

Yea it took them a while to send me an e-mail...but did you get a receipt from the bank...that's what I did, don't worry she'll send you a receipt just keep e-mailing her about it.
