Just left punta cana this AM and still traveling home. I will post a review soon! Girls don't worry it all turns out perfect. I had a garden gazebo wedding at 3pm and a reception in the beach from 7-11pm for 47 people. It was great!

Hi everyone,

Though I plan to get married off-resort, I am considering having my guests stay at bbpd. I was perusing through the thread and saw that there is an outside vendor fee of $1300usd. is that right? It sounds simply outrageous. Does this change if you don't plan on getting married on  the resort? I'd like to have my photographer come and take pictures of me and my girls getting ready and I want to better understand the costs around that.

Thanks!

If you are getting married off the resort then it will not be a problem/cost to bring a photographer with you. (Even if you were getting married at the resort, as long as your photographer is a guest of your wedding and staying atleast the one night, then there is no outside vendor fee.)

Ladies who have been to BBPD or have already gotten married there...

My wedding is next April and am trying to decide between a beach ceremony or a chillout rooftop ceremony. I love the way the photos look on the rooftop, but my only concern is that it doesn't seem like there's any shade up there. I'm worried the sun will be beaming at 4PM and that we would be uncomfortable b/c of the sun.

The beach is my alternate location, since there are a few palm trees for shade ( I saw some in pictures...correct me if I'm wrong), but I don't think it's quite as unique as the rooftop. Plus a few brides have said that it's not really private, which isn't a huge deal for me but something to consider. At least there aren't as many people watching as the beach gazebo.

Guess I just want to know whether, if we choose a rooftop ceremony, the sun will be beaming down on everyone's foreheads the whole time? Or is it nice, breezy, and comfortable up there?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
