I got the same robes for my bridesmaids! they look amazing on pics!

 

if your wedding was at 5pm, what time did you start getting ready? did everyone (bridesmaids) got ready at the spa? Lianny was telling me it wasnt a good idea because you cant talk very loud or have drinks, is this true?

 

I cant wait to be there already! I am getting more anxious by the minute!

The robes were a total hit! I'm so glad I bought them! I scheduled our hair appointments at the spa for 1PM and it was perfect because we were never rushed in any way. Just took our time getting ready and it was great! The bridal room that I got ready in was really convienient and pretty! They provided champagne and chocolate covered strawberries while we were in there and I brought 2 extra bottles of champagne so what Lianny said isn't true... we definitely didn't censor ourselves in the room, so i wouldn't be worried about getting kicked out or anything! It was me, my 4 bridemaids, my mom and my husbands mom. It was really nice.

Sorry for the multiple posting but I found the Allure 8862 at RKbridal in NYC. Ahh!!! maybe it's meant to be! I'll let you know, i'm hoping to go try it on this weekend. On another note, Susana still hasn't gotten back to me and it's been 2 weeks since we made that transfer for the deposit. I'm starting to get a little annoyed, I just want to make sure they got it!

Hi ladies, I have been skimming through this thread as I am looking to get married next April in Dominican and so far the Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe is the lead in resorts we wish to go to .  I have a thousand questions but I wont bother you all with them (since i am sure they are half answered on the 98 pages this thread has LOL) but does anyone know if you are staying at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace if you can get married at the Barcelo Barvaro Beach ocean front Gazebo? That is the ceremony site i fell in love with when i was looking at the wedding photos adn info ont he Barcelo website and i just realized that it isn't for the Barcelo Bavaro Palce that its jsut at Barcelo Bavaro. :S

 

Not a big deal if that is the case, its just i really liked the gazebo and set up.

They dont mind if you bring your own fake flowers...they just wont allow you to use any outside florists for real ones. You can find real touch flowers at Michaels and Hobby Lobby!

 

For dinner seating and guest book from my knowledge you need to diy. Bring your own guestbook or gb alternative and also if you want a seating chart or table tags/numbers youll have to bring that as well.

We chose the Tangerine package. Decided it was the best package for us because it included almost everything we wanted.

 

Im not sure if anyone has done this but I was thinking of making the bridesmaid bouquets here and have them bring them (fake flowers) down to the Domincan instead of paying extra for the flowers there. Not sure if that will work.

 

And im looking for ideas on centre pieces only because i dont want to be paying $50 or more if i dont have to and bring something from here to decorate the tables.

 

Also i was wondering about the dinner seating and welcome guest book. Did they supply that to you or should i be making up and bringing my own?

I am pretty sure what you are talking about is the beach gazebo located in the middle of the resort by the pool area overlooking the beach, right?  If so then that is a location choice for staying at BBPD. The barcelo bavaro beach is just the adults only area of the resort. Hope that helps!

Do you of you ladies know if the market close by has coffee I could buy for favors? So smaller packages that would be fitting for a gift?

I remember seeing small coffee bags on the stores at the airport. I dont remember seeing something like that on the stores at the resorth though. They also sell small Barcelo Rum bottles that could be used as favors.
