OMG Tamara that is sooooo exciting. You have got to let us know when it will be airing! I will be watching. That is a pretty dress. Oh you know what I forgot to mention to you that I loved the pics on your site. the Bun in the Oven pic was my favorite.

 

But yes my two phrases that I believe in so dearly:

 

"Everything happens for a reason"

"What's meant to be will be"

 

I am completely in love with my FI, so I know no matter what our wedding will be magical. And for our honeymoon in the DR we can go crazy because ther will be no one around to catch us.

How cool!! I love "say yes to the dress" and always have every episode set to tape on my dvr. I live in Atlanta where they film it too and just got an email about coming to do my bridesmaids dresses while they're taping, who knows if we would get on air, but the whole thing is just fun! Can't wait to see all the pics from site visits and weddings to come!!

I just received an email with several new pictures of table decorations from BBPD. The prices were not included. I was told to inquire about a specific image if I am interested to receive a quote. I was excited to see these.

Love all the pics getting posted - this forum feels like a life saver!!!! I love my FH but he so does not want to plan anything haha - so having you ladies makes me feel like I have a helping planning committee!! Quick question for you all:

 

Anyone know of any place online, where I could find Photographers advertising their services at this resort? I know that was worded awkwardly..basically, i am trying to find out if there are going to be any photographers at the hotel the day I am getting married (December 12, 2012). I don't really want to use Tropical Photos from the resort - so I am hoping someone else is flying a photographer down that I could hire for my day to do our photos!!

 

Any ideas or advice on where I could find this info would be greatly appreciated!!!

 

Oh and in regards to my earlier post about how I had the Mint Breeze package and Marlene had said since my group had gotten to big for an a-la-carte that they would be putting us in a buffet. Finally heard back from marlene, and I was right, by buffet she means literally in one of the buffet restuants with all of the other hotel guests!!! So anyways, I have decided to upgrade my package to the STrawberry Passion one because I really do want that private dinner/reception!! Does anyone know is they charge extra to use one of the ball/banquet rooms...or is the extra charge just for the Bar Higuey/Beach?!?!?!

Forgot to add this in: Below is an e-mail question I sent to Marlene, and her response is in Blue...is anyone else being told something like this for the timing for their wedding?!?!? i feel sooo frustrated about this situation!!! Any help/advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

 

2) I have some friends who are also getting married at your resort, and also having civil ceremonies and they already have their wedding times confirmed with the judge. How come they have their times confirmed, and they received the time they wanted, but I am being told I will get anywhere from 11-6 and I will not know until 2 weeks prior to my wedding? This is really not good because we have guests planning on arriving at the hotel that morning from Canada and if our wedding is any earlier than 2pm they could miss my wedding. I do not understand why some people have their times confirmed, but you cannot confirm the 4pm time that I want. please advised that de time of your wedding do not depend on me or the hotel, before booking and confirmed your wedding we clearly advised on this. your wedding will be confirmed by December 2012 by the judge agenda.

I don’t know if your friends told you that in Punta Cana area we only have 1 judge for allll the hotels, so as you can undertand he is a very busy guy.

What we have for sure is that we will married you on your date but we don’t know the time yet.

I think the only place that has an extra charge for the reception is the beach. The ballrooms are included in your package as well as Bar Higuey (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) but they are very picky about reserving Bar Higuey because it is next to the convention center.

 

I dont really know about photographers. I'm just going to use tropical pictures and my sister in law who has taken photography classes will be my back up LOL.

 

BTW, I paid the deposit early lst week and have not heard back from them!!! how long does it usually take for them to send a confirmation????
