These look awesome!  A few questions because I'm planning on using the Aylee's template too when I get around to the invites:

Can you change the color of the eagle on the cover?  I wanted to use navy card stock but wasn't sure if the picture was "edit-able"

Are the Vistaprint RSVPs larger than the invites?  I was thinking about doing the same, but wasn't sure if that would be weird.

I've done all my DIY projects in Word, PowerPoint or publisher.  I'd love to use photoshop - is it an expensive program?

Hi- thank you!!

1- I dont think you can change the color of the eagle, i think i tried doing that.....but i could be wrong! i can try it with my template on word and will let you know!!

2- my invites were 5 by 3 1/2.......and the postcards were 5.47" x 4.21" (according to vista print)...the envelope was size A2 4 3/8 x 5 3/4........so everything fit perfectly and it didnt look weird at all!!

3- Photoshop is super expensive! but my brother has a mac book pro and he has photoshop so i was lucky enough to use his assistance with that.......but so many girls on here used word and powerpoint and had no issues.....so you should be all set!

I mailed mine out yesterday and i've gotten so many texts and Facebook messages from our guests on how much they love them.......i really appreciate all the compliments because it was alot of work! but so worth it! and i saved alot of money!

let me know if you have any other questions!

I just had an "AHA" moment.  I've been wondering about fitting an RSVP envelope inside the invite envelope if the sizes are the same but just realized you don't need an RSVP envelope with the postcard!  I was debating doing something different for the RSVPs but this makes so much sense.

I love these so much.  I decided a long time ago to go with the passport invites.  Can't wait to start working on them.

Maria - How long did it take you to complete them all?  I am trying to figure out when I should start working on them.

Thanks!! I started working on the template a couple hours a day after work for like a good week....my brother was helping me with Photoshop.....the printing prob took me like 2 days.....i think it's doable in one day tho! and then two more days of cutting all the paper and stapling everything together, and on the last day i stuffed all the envelopes and stuff........i did this in like 2 months, since i had to wait for stuff to come in the mail etc, and i wanted to send them out right in the end of October......which is why i slacked off a little.....but once you have all the materials, you can def get these done in less than two weeks, that's with working a full time job, having a life and then devoting some hours to the invites!! lol.........I always had to wait like a week for everyhting i ordered, and i didnt order everything at the same time....which explains why i took so long!

Thanks so much for sharing. I really wanted to do these on my own but when i started playing around with Aylee's free template i got a little discouraged and had almost made up my mind to pay someone for the invites.  I'm so happy you posted, it gave me hope that i can do this on my own.  unfortunately i don't have photoshop but I'm going to try it on Word or PP.  Gonna start this weekend! :)
