Assigned Seating at AHR Brunch?

Our AHR is this Saturday.  We have a private room in a venue for brunch and all of our 28 guests will be seated a a long table.  I originally didn't want to do place cards but I'm worried that guests might have trouble sorting out seating at the long table. Any suggestions on if we should do assigned seating or not?

I think it end up being easier for you to go ahead and assign seats.  I can picture people just grabbing chairs and couples getting separated and having to ask others to shift down.

We decided to not assign. Fingers crossed!  I'll let you know how it works out. Our AHR is tomorrow!

Quick update. Our AHR brunch was yesterday and everything was amazing!  Not assigning seats worked out fine, however, I did need to ask a few people to move down a few seats so some guests that were friends could sit together. If I had to do it over, I probably would have assigned seats just to make it easier for everyone.
