Bellagio or Paris wedding, anyone? Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced phtographer in LV?

Recommended Posts

Hi, ladies cheesy.gif

we're thinking about having our wedding in Vegas. Trying to make it classy and romantic, but stick to a budget of 2K max. Expecting about 20 people. We really love what these 2 hotels have to offer, although, they're a little out of our range...

Are you or anyone you know planning a wedding there? Are they getting a package from a hotel or going with a chapel? any suggestions? it seems like hotels are charging a lot more than chapels...

Also, looks like they all offer very limited time with the photographer... can anyone recommend a reasonably priced one for a few extra hours? Or would it be better to get disposable cameras for all guests and just DIY?

thanks a lot to everyone who responds!!! smile159.gif

Hi Olga

I am using Bently & Wilson . I found their prices very cheap. Be aware that an outside photographer will not be allowed to photograph a wedding at a hotel or chapel without paying an extra fee (which can be around $400). This includes directly after the ceremony inside the grounds.  Some even have restrictions on guest photography.

I have heard that the flamingo does cheaper packages. They are part of Harrahs like the Paris. I just jumped on the website and both the Paris, Ceasars Palace and Flamingo all have packages under $2000. http://www.parislasvegas.com/weddings/paris-las-vegas/plv-packages-chablis.html

Other photographers are deacon tyler and mikeL.

I hope this helps!

Thank you, J_jaye!

this is definitely helpful! I love their work and the prices are VERY reasonable. I've sent then an inquiry.

when are you getting married? have you picked everything yet?

My FI keeps changing his mind. He really likes the Venetian, Paris, and the Excalibur. I'm going to look into it. He really doesn't feel comfortable experimenting with "outside the hotels" chapels, afraid of getting the most important day of our lives getting messed up, I guess cheesy.gif.

Hi Olga

We are getting married in Sept 2011 at the Las Vegas Sign. We are coming from Australia for our wedding so we wanted to make it as Vegas as possible. So far I have everything planned but mostly because we wanted to give our guests one years notice so they could save an get time off work if they wanted to come.

I have heard good and bad things about both outside chapels and hotel chapels. It really seems to be a bit of a conveyor belt business....one couple leaving as another is getting ready to come in especially at the outside chapels.

The Las Vegas board on The Knot has been extremely helpful for me. it is a lot more active than this board.

congratulation on your engagement I just recently got married at the Bellagio and was very happy with there chapel and service but the photographer they made us use durring the ceramony was with Cashman Professional the images were very poor quality and then after they wanted an additional $1200 for a cd of all the images. I found Memories by Lucas  to shoot the reception and could not have been happier with the images he got and his prices were very reasonable.

I live here in Vegas and have renewed several times.  I also work for wedding chapel.  Here's my recommendation.  If you really insist on getting married inside the Paris or Bellagio go ahead.  But you will be spending a ton of money and minimal things.  You will also only have some prints from the photographer (who works for Cahsman) and they charge $10 per image for the CD copyrigths.  Meaning if they took 150 images, you will have to pay $1500 for the CD after the ceremony.

Better suggestion...play a small more simple ceremony.  You can have a minister meet you somewhere, say in front of the Bellagio fountains, in suite is a room overlooking Paris or Bellagio, The Las Vegas Sign, Red Rock, Valley of Fire, etc.  There are ton of places you can have a ceremony.  OR have a simple ceremony with a chapel for $200-$500 then have your photos done on the strip afterwards.  The latter is my choice.  For a small, simple ceremony with 20 guests, try hapel of the Flowers, Chapel of the West, or Wee Kirk of the Heathers.  These are also the 3 older, nicer chapels in Vegas and have that historic feel.

For photography later, I'm using http://www.gomoxiestudio.com/.  I've met with her. She's amazing and open to great ideas, too.  Very skillful and very reasonable priced.

KEEP IN MIND, whoever it is you go with, you will want the CD of your photos!  You will not just want prints and then have something happen to them and then you have not.  Negotiate or purchase your copyrights.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
