When Is Your Bridal Shower?

Recommended Posts

So I'm getting married in Cancun in February and my friend is trying to figure out the best / most appropriate time to have a shower.

We were initially thinking November 7 because it is before the holiday season starts and in January, people will be finializing their payments for travel if they're planning to attend the wedding.

So what do you guys think? When should we have the shower?

When is your wedding, and when is your shower?

Thanks for the help!

My future mother-in-law is hosting my bridal shower at the start of November. We are getting married on January 24. Hope that helps. I also didn't want guests spending a lot of money, since they already are spending a bunch to come south with us. So we are doing a 'wine and sexy underwear' party. Hopefully people will be able to pick up something small.

My sister (Matron of Honor) is throwing my bridal shower in my home town next weekend and my wedding is in January. My bestfriend is throwing me a bachelorette party in Vegas a month later and then the holidays and the main event! my wedding. I can't wait!! All of our bridal events are about three months before the wedding. cheesy.gif

our wedding is Jan 2 and my showers are planned for Oct 16 and Nov 6.  I didn't want to have them too close to the holidays and some family will be traveling from out of town and we didn't want to worry about bad weather stranding anyone (we live in the northeast so anything could happen!)

I think November is a great time to do it. We haven't set an official wedding date, but I know when I was pregnant, my due date lol was February and we did my baby shower at the beginning of November since most people would be worried about xmas expenses at already by the end of november. LOL I know totally different than a bridal shower. lol but i would certainly avoid doing it in the middle of the holidays.
