the BEACH at Moon Palace

Hi Everyone!

 

I know there are TONS of threads out there regarding MP but I am interested about their beach grounds.  I have read so many mixed reviews on this - many say so much seaweed and the water is brown, while others say the beach is so clean..

 

So I guess this is more for anyone who has BEEN there before - hows the beach?  Is it swimable? hows the waves?

I just got back from MP.  The beach is not the greatest out there in the area.  It has a lot of seaweed but a truck goes by and picks it up so that helps a lot.  The water is normal beach water you would see in South Carolina or Florida. It's not the Turquoise water you see down in the hotel zone just normal beach water.  We hung out there one day, it wasn't too bad.  There wasn't a lot of people swimming in the ocean as the first two days were red flags that you weren't allowed to be in the water.  The next few days had yellow and people did go in.  Personally I don't like salt water so only went in the to ankles.

There is always a red flag up suggesting that no one swims in the beach. But that is all over cancun because we visited some of the other palace resorts and they had that red flag up. As for Moon Palace beach its not the most gorgeous in Cancun but its still beautiful in comparison to beaches in the US. The waters of Moon Palace are different shades of blue and turquoise.
