So, I thought I'd share my story :)

FI & I met March 08 through out best friends (who are now married and we were in their weddings).  When we met, he just came back from a year and a half tour in Iraq.. he returned to Ft Bragg, NC and I continues my life in MA.. we became friends and would talked constantly but sometime in May things just weren't going our way.  He called me on my birthday in Dec. and we picked back up.. talking constantly.  He asked me to accompany him to a Military Ball in May 09 and thats when our relationship really started... it worked out, we saw each other almost every month.. we never went for more than 2 months without seeing each other.  He got orders to Ft. Benning, GA for February 2010 and I decided to make the move in March 2010.. so we both had a new start at a new place.. well, now its been a year since I've moved and I can honestly say its been difficult (our relationship though, has been stronger.. he proposed in October 2010 btw).  When I moved, I gave my job my notice (I was there for 2 1/2 years and I have a college degree).  The economy sucks.. I couldn't find a job with a BA degree until September.. so it took 7 months.. so like I said, it was difficult.. but it definetly made us stronger.  Now my only downfall is that I work from home, I work in the Social Services field.. so I've met no one.. all my friends, family are back home in MA (we talk multiple times a day) .. all my wedding planning is out of MA so this is definetly hard for me.. but we go home/someone visits every couple of months.. So.. what I'm saying is that it works.. it'll make you stronger.. and at the end of the day, I wanted to be with my FI more than wanting to be back home.. now I can't wait until his contract is up and we can move home (Dec 2013.. ahhhh!)
