My DIY hair flowers and ring bearer shells

I am not much of a DIY-er, but wanted to save money on the wedding. I just finished making hair flowers for myself, My MOH, my bridesmaid (my 12 year old daughter) and my flowergirl. I think they look ok. I didn't want to spend tons of money, so I looked online for some instructions and then decided to just 'wing it'. Honest opinions please!! I won't be hurt, I promise!

Mine in my hair. This is the clip I made with 2 flowers. I also made a hair pin with a single flower on it in case I want 'more' flower in my hair

 

We have 2 ring bearers so I also made them each a Ring bearer shell. I didn't want pillows since it didn't seem beachy enough The ones I was looking at on Etsy were awesome, but I didn't feel like spending $25+ each for the ones I liked. I think I spent less than $20 making both of these.

I bought the shells at Michaels for $3, and then gave them a quick coat of pearlized paint.
