Amazing Vendor Recommendations

Hello soon-to-be Maui brides and grooms!  I just wanted to post very quickly about the amazing vendors that I worked with who put together a perfect wedding for my husband and I.  Our coordinator, Cherise Vonae Shulman of The Perfect Wedding, did a remarkable job of organizing and putting together the most beautiful wedding!  She is extraordinarily organized and responds to questions and requests so quickly!  She's also very reasonable and will work with your budget.  We had both our ceremony and reception at the beautiful Olowalu Plantation House- AMAZING!  Our food was catered by Food for the Soul.  They were wonderful to work with and the filet mignon was delicious- just melted in your mouth.  Our photographer, Victor Saidov, is a photographer from the mainland (Seattle) who we flew out and not only is an amazingly talented photographer (and his brother Max too!), but both Victor and Max are a blast- they make everything fun and they truly capture the moment in all of their shots.  Our DJ, Jay Langworthy, was also very talented, he picked up on the vibe and played great beats, and he also does mash-ups- so awesome!  Our wedding was a dream and there is nothing I would change.  Our bridal party stayed at the Papakea Resort and the Mahana- both are beautiful and reasonably priced at group rates (during the off season).  It was so much fun because we had our rehearsal dinner/welcome dinner (food supplied by Costco) at the cabana at Papakea (lost our deposit because we were a bit too wild sad.gif), and then followed up the wedding with a post-wedding brunch at the Aloha Mixed Plate - so yummy!  It was a perfect wedding in paradise!

Just a fun tip- if you want to do a lei greeting for your guests go to Costco for your leis- $8.99 for a two pack!  Pre-order through Maui floral.

This is awesome, thank you so much for sharing! I almost started jumping up and down when I read your last comment about the leis. I was calling around TODAY and the cheapest I could find was $9.99 each! Do you have a link to Maui Floral you can provide. If not I'll just call the costco and try to get details.

Thank you SO much!

See... I told you so :) I knew you would love Cherise... she's just a dream come true, no? Hubs and I are headed back to Maui for Thanksgiving and I can't wait to catch up with her again! And Food for the Soul... just WONDERFUL!!! I'm so happy they both lived up to your expectations.

I didn't realize you had some guests stay at Papakea!! You should have let me know as I could have (probably) gotten you a discount. I know the coordinator there... and she owes me a favor :) But glad you liked it. It's just too bad that they don't let you have music in the cabanas... that's the only reason we had our Rehearsal Dinner at Aloha Mixed Plate. But hey- the cabanas at Papakea are free.. so I guess it's not that bad :)

It can be so hard to know who to hire/trust as a vendor for your wedding. But gals- if you are looking for an incredible coordinator at a VERY good price ... please look up Cherise at The Perfect Wedding. She'll be sure to knock your socks off! They are also on FaceBook too if you want to look them up.
