Hi my daughter is getting married at Dreams Punta Cana Feb 2411 and II find this website very informative on how to do a destination wedding. Just wondering if we are able to bring starfish as thank you favor to hand out to the guests, is this allowed in the dominican.

They may not allow to bring it in and then your guest may have issues bringing that starfish back to Canada.  It's a hit and a miss,but personally, I wouldn't do it to avoid the hustle.

 to the forum!!! Several ladies in previous threads did express having problems with customs regarding transporting starfish. If you do a search you'll be able to read the threads. I would say to avoid any hassle just skip it. Good luck.

Thanks everyone for the info...guess starfish is not a good idea

I brought starfish down from NYC to Turks & Caicos as they were part of my escort card setup. I had no problem brining them down and each guest, well each couple brought one back. It was literally one starfish in their luggage, I think it's okay. I would do it. I had zero issues!
