Location Help!

Hi Everyone!

 

This site is great. We want to get married Jan 30, 2012... but I don't know where to start! What Countries/locations would be hot enough to enjoy an all inclusive but not so hot that I'm going to sweat to death for a late afternoon wedding? Also - does anyone know of some resorts that allow the party to continue until the wee hours? I've seen many places that end the party at 10!

Mexico and the Mayan Riviera are fantastic that time of year. Temperatures are fantastic during the day and you might even get to wear a long sleeve shirt at night... but never cold! We love it here!!!

Have you thought of the Riviera Maya? One of the best things about Riviera Maya is the fact that you can get everything you dream, and it goes from the simplest things, up to the most elaborated... I am certain that you would love it.

To check out various resorts, a good place to go is the hotel review section on tripadvisor.com and the venue reviews here.  TA will not offer many wedding reviews, but the list is probably more extensive and you can come back here to learn more about wedding experiences. I would suggest using both resources. 

Your wedding is going to be full of magic and this website will help you a lot!

Congrats and welcome to the forum!  The Palace Resorts in Mexico are very nice and I have seen some very nice wedding there. I really think that anywhere in the Caribbean would be nice that time of year.

From a Travel Agent's point of view, that time of year is great to go anywhere really. The sky is the limit!

 

If you take a look at destinations where there's a direct flight from where you and your guests will be leaving from this is usually the best way to narrow down destinations that might be better than others. Maybe you have a favourite spot, or somewhere you've always wanted to go??

Welcome and Congrats!!  The Caribbean is always a beautiful and affordable idea.  Even though the reception may have to end at 10 doesnt mean you need to stop partying.  There is almost always a disco/club at the resort where you can keep the party going.  There is so much info on this site to help you out.  Good Luck!!

Congrats! I agree with the other posts -- pretty much anywhere in the Caribbean is going to be perfect that time of year. I once went to Jamaica in mid-January, and the weather was just right!
