I never understood why it is always such a problem with shipping to Canada. I mean it's Canada not Baghdad for crying out loud.

no kidding. I always thought it was funny that it is cheaper and faster to ship from the mainland states to Alaska then it is too Canada. I understand that it is probably due to customs & borders - but I still think it doesn't quite make logical sense!
