Random people facebooking you asking for invites??? That is just ridiculous. Like, do people not get that it IS STILL a wedding!? fryingpan.gif

So my TA is running the latest report tomorrow and I am PRAYING that it is under 65.  My RSVP date cutoff is March 1st, however if people have not booked their travel with my TA or gotten their accomodations taken care of prior to February 1st I don't want them to even consider coming anymore.  smile43.gif

My new number is 100 and under!!  I will pass out if I have over 100 guests in DR with me, even though I know it will be fun, I just haven't budgeted for that number.  Oh and don't get me started on the RANDOM people who keep facebooking me if they could come....

6 months, 6 months....

I just sent out tentative RSVPs with my Save the Dates and am actually getting lots of responses quickly, but all Yes responses so far.  This is going to be interesting people we thought we definitely not come were the first to RSVP I am worried now this is going to be a much bigger weddign than I have been thinking!!

I am also being asked if people we had no intentions of inviting could come!

My theory is if people you wouldn't normally invite want to come (as a few have asked me to).  I've told them that the limited factor is people at the reception, so they are welcome to come and take advantage of the group rate - however they may not be able to attend the reception.

That way they know ahead of time and won't feel left out, the people I really wanted are still there can still have a more intimate dinner and everyone and can still take advantage of a nice vacation.

I like the idea of a fake deadline, I will be using that one!  I also like the allowing other people to get the group rate but let them know they will not be included in the reception! Thanks for the great ideas ladies!

Don't know if this helps, but I had my TA send "nudge emails" to the guests who requested a quote-yet haven't booked. It offered new rates, contact info...all that's necessary to get a confirmation from a guest. I understand that people like to wait until a "good deal", however that's not how the travel industry works. If they wait too long, prices will go up and then the wedding will be "too expensive" to attend, lol. Don't stress, and have a beautiful wedding day:-)
