Hello World!
 I am sooo in love & excited! Our wedding date is July 16, 2011- we recently requested our date at the RIU Paradise Island, Bahamas. Does anyone have any experience/suggestions regarding this locale? Has anyone worked with Destination Weddings.com? I look forward to swapping tips and getting to know each of you as we do this together!

Congrats!  I vacationed here back in 2006 with my now fiance and had an amazing time.  Paradise island is beautiful and the RIU provided great service.  I considered having my wedding there especially because of the Cloisters (try and take pictures there on your wedding day-it's breathtaking), but had to reconsider because many family members live in Dominican Republic and would need visas to travel to the bahamas.  Anyway, you made a wonderful choice.  The people, RIU hotel, and beach is amazing in paradise island.
