Hi Ladies,  I am recently engaged and researching resorts for our destination wedding in Punta Cana.  I have stayed at Dreams Palm Beach but am looking at Dreams Punta Cana for our wedding.  For those of you who have been married there can you help me with the following questions ( the WC I have been in touch with is not very detailed)

 

1.  When you are reserving your locations for ceremony and reception i keep getting told this is on a first come first serve basis.  Does this mean when i send in my deposit, my locations are reserved or can i not claim them until i arrive?

 

2. I was told they have up to 3 weddings per day here.  Does this become chaotic or competitive?  is there a better day to get married (sunday, friday) to avoid mulitple weddings on the same day?

 

3.  Have any of you had a band play at your reception?  I see they offer a "rock band" and a "10 piece band" but that is not very descriptive
