Hello Everyone!!!.....Costa Rica Destination Wedding .... help!

Hi Everyone, I am planning a 2012 destination wedding to Costa Rica and I need help!  If anyone has any real knowledge or experience of all-inclusive hotels and wedding locations in Costa Rica I would love to hear all about it. I believe I have narrowed down my preferred location to be somewhere in the Northern Pacific coast primarily because it is close to the Liberia airport and it is know for some good surf spots (for my fiance).

 

I have enjoyed reading other posts about others experiences in planning a destination wedding and it has relieved me somewhat to know that others are going through the same things as me....good and bad!!

I haven't been personally but know people who have - Paradisius Playa Conchal.  it's in the Guantacaste area you are looking at and is all inclusive.  My coworker was there for a wedding anniversary in June and really enjoyed it. Its about 20 minutes from that surf town (can't remember the name) but they went there one afternoon.

I hit submit too soon....I actually looked to have my wedding there too - they have packages.  But I ended up deciding most of our friends wouldn't travel that far so we're doing the Bahamas.

Congrats! I agree re: Paradisus if you are wanting an all inclusive. Plus it is about 30 minutes from Tamarindo/Playa Langosta and the surfing there is great! There is not surfing right out of Paradisus however. Good luck!

I am in the midst of planning a November 2011 wedding in Costa Rica.

We have booked an all-inclusive villa in Manuel Antonio, in the Central Pacific side of Costa Rica.

We wanted to avoid the touristy part of Costa Rica and enjoy the natural side. We are both really into the outdoors and this area seemed to suit our needs, although I am sure Guancaste is also a beautiful area. My sister and her husband honeymooned at the Riu resort there and loved it.
