Booked Citlalli to photograph...one problem

We hired Citlalli to photograph our wedding...yeah!!!

I also wanted to do a TTD session as well...I asked Claudia when I finalized that we would be going with Citlalli, what she charges to do a TTD session and what it includes and all and she emailed me back and asked what it is...she said she had never heard of it before. Since Citlalli is photographing our wedding I was hoping to get some sort of package deal. Now I'm worried because she doesn't even know what it is. I tried to explain it to her, but i'm not sure. What do you girls think. Do you think it would be rude of me to suggest she view another photographers website to view a slideshow? I inquired about another photographer to do it and they will not to the TTD without photographing the wedding. HELP!!!

If she asked you what it is then no it's not rude of you to send her samples of what you like from other photographers. Send her Sol's website, they have some awesome TTD on there.

there's also a trash the dress website and i don't think it would be rude at all to just help explain what it is. but i know there are also photogs that will just do a TTD (weird that someone wouldn't)

My photog did not know what it was, so I did that, sent her links to other photog's sites and said this is the idea, but we should do our own thing. She is very happy to be doing it. Mine is doing it for free to get the experience and use it in her portfoilo, but I will pay for any photo's I want.

I think TTD's are fairly new within the last few years, so it seems reasonable that she may have never been asked to do them. I don't think it would be rude to send her photos to show her what you are looking for, I wish I could do this but there is no way FI will want to "waste" a day taking pictures, I would love to do it!

I don't think it's rude at all . . . direct her to a few of the slideshows that are posted & definetely to the Trash the Dress! site.

I just got an email back from Claudia and she said that now she knows what it is since I explained it and they have done a few of them before.
