Hey Everyone,

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekends!

I am new to this website.  A friend who just recently had a destination wedding in the DR reccomended that I use this site.

I am very excited to start the wedding planning process. I have been engaged for almost a year.  We have decided that this is an amazing alternative rather than getting married here.  It's hard for me to justify spending 30k + for one day/night.  Why not have an entire week! :)

We are looking to get married at The Riu Sante Fe or the Riu Palace in Los Cabos but are open to any suggestions! :)

Los Cabos holds a special place in both our hearts.  It was my fiance's first trip.  He had never been on a plane let alone to an all inclusive resort.  It was so amazing with the sea lions, and the whales and the arc is so beautiful!

We are looking to get married in and around July or August of next year (2011).

A lot of our friends are teachers, and we want to be able to share the time with them as well.  Also it seems to be a low season for tourism and it drives the prices down.  We don't want to put anyone out.  We are also looking at putting some money down to make everyone's flights/tickets cheaper.

Would love it if someone could let me know how to even approach going about this entire process!! I feel so lost.

I am so looking forward to start the planning process.

Any help would be tremendous! I look forward to hearing from you!

Shauna
