Paradisus Punta Cana (PPC) Brides POST HERE!!

Recommended Posts

Ladies who have had their wedding at the PPC,

There is a champagne toast after your ceremony, Could you let me know if the hotel serves descent champagne? or is it lousy? Is champagne available (or proseco) during the reception?

Can you give more info about the cocktail hour? is it worth paying for the ipod hookup?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you so much for this review and the pictures, you looked beautiful! We are getting married at the Paradisus Punta Cana on May 16, 2015 and this information really helped!

Hi ladies!!! i just got back from my wedding!!! I wrote a review on tip advisor so I just copied and pasted it! If you have specific questions let me know!! FYI we used Destinationweddings.com to book our trip and I'm so happy we did! Her name was Pamela Gramling and she booked 75 of us at the PPC and it went so smooth! They even allow you to do a payment plan for you and your guests so everyone can attend :) I attached a link from my photographer (who we flew down for the occasion) and here are some photos to give you an idea of the chill out chic package :) http://oldsouthstudios.com/danielle-joes-first-lookpunta-cana-dominican-republic/

My husband and I were married on May 17, 2014 at the Paradisus Punta Cana resort. Having a destination wedding was the absolute best choice and having it here was amazing. When our group of 75 showed up on Wed-Thursday we found out they upgraded the whole group(yes the whole group, 75 of us!!) to the Reserve. We were completely shocked. It was such an awesome surprise. Our room was awesome and had a great view of the pool!! The Reserve was perfect for all of us because we all could find each other easy! The bartenders at the pool bar ( shout to Rodolfo- you were the best!) were friendly and fun and make some great drinks. The Buffett was okay. We totally recommend Vento! We didn't get a chance to really eat at a lot of restaurants because of our welcome party, rehearsal dinner and wedding nights had us booked. Make sure you book your reservations when you get there the first day. They fill up fast and won't let you eat without a reservation. We didn't try Passion (the one that costs money) but our guests did and raved about it! The overall appearance of the resort is amazing. The main hotel lobby is awesome and the grounds were gorgeous. Our wedding coordinator was Beatrice and she was such a blessing! She was so responsive and genuine. She did whatever she could to make our day special. She was able to throw together a welcome Party with 7 hours notice and it was perfect. We were able o hand out the welcome bags there :) then We had the rehearsal dinner at Gabi Beach. That bar has an awesome view! The lit up trees and beach right there was so nice, especially with the breeze. Again it was a Buffett and was decent but you do need a reservation and you can't make it until you are 30 days out Tom your wedding. Our wedding day was perfect. Perfect weather (6pm ceremony on the beach) and gorgeous cocktail hour (again on the beach). The reception looked awesome (Caney ballroom). I explained to Beatrice how I wanted it and it looked exactly how I imagined! The food wasn't great (Caribbean Buffett menu) but the DJ was awesome and the crowd was always dancing. One thing that was negative was that they did not have the AC on until people showed up at the ballroom. It was so hot and hard to cool down with 75 of us in there. If you have your reception in there make sure the AC is on a hour (at least) before any guest steps foot inside. The day was unforgettable and I am truly amazed on how smooth it went. I can't thank Beatrice enough- thank you thank you thank you!!!!! Oh and check out the main pool behind Gabi Beach- it's pretty cool. And thank god for the shuttles- the resort is so huge you need to use them If you are at the Reserve! We will definitely be coming back to the Reserve at the Paradisus Punta Cana!

Did you find it hard to work with Caribbean Celebrations? I feel like they provide very few pictures to browse through (for instance, centre pieces) so I have no clue what I want that they are able to do.

Hi Daramcca,

How's your planning going along? I just booked last week, so I've got a lot of things to do and decide! I got Bianca as my coordinator...no word from her yet. Right now I'm undecided on my wedding package, but I will most likely go with the Chill Out or Allure package. I'm having a seaside gazebo ceremony at 3pm (4pm was taken by another bride), reception to be determined, and I'm expecting approximately 40 people. I'm having a symbolic Christian ceremony(getting my marriage license in the states before I go to the DR) with Pastor Mark Lykins...I contacted him directly but he told me to coordinate with the resort...I was billed $737.50 for him by the resort, which is much higher than the $350 plus taxes that previous brides in this forum were charged so I'm inquiring about this bill.

Good luck JennyAdele! Hope everything goes smoothly! Looking forward to your review when you return!

Hey Ladies

can anyone give more info on the cost of flowers/decor? I've been trying to get some info from the caribbean celebrations people but they dont give any until it's closer to my wedding march. Kind of annoying.

Sorry, I have not yet been in contact with them. But when I do, I'll let you know if I can get some pricing out of them. From reading all these threads, I get the feeling that they charge very high prices for simple things. So before I even get pricing, I plan on bringing a lot of my own decorations and centerpiece items.

Hi Daramcca!

My coordinator is Bianca as well! She just sent me some things but I haven't spoken to her. I'm undecided about my package too..I  was thinking a la carte or tailor made. Please let me know when you find out about Pastor Mark because I booked last week and I don't think I was charged that.
