Timing Question: Do you ask your bridesmaids (to be your BMs) before or after sending STDs?

I was going to have this issue at first. But since our wedding is small my FI wanted us to keep the bridal party down to just his brother and my sister. Which is soooooo much easier. Only one body type to choose a dress for instead of three different types. And my sister is young. She can wear anything and look nice.

I wasn't going to have any since my FI won't have a best man (wife is expecting)  but I broke down and asked my fav girls to be by my side since they were already coming.

I asked mine before, we all travel together pretty often so when I told them it was a DW, they wanted to know when to start packing!
