Royal Playa del Carmen Ball Room

Hi ladies, I just booked my wedding at the RPDC for June 19th 2011 at 6pm.  We have about 40 guests attending and I am leaning toward holding the reception in the ball room because I am nervous that a beach reception in June may be too hot.  However I have not seen any pictures of the ball rooms, does anyone have any pics to post?  Also it seems like the resort has multiple ballrooms does anyone know if one is better than the other?

        when I went last year on my site visit it is actually one huge ballroom that they divide up based on how many guests there are and of course if there are multiple weddings.

 

I'm sorry I did not take any pictures I have not seen any pictures of weddings in the ballroom myself but I am sure they are out there. From what I remember it was a really beautiful room with ample space.

I forgot the other nice thing about the ballroom is your wedding can go on into the morning hours if you want

 

I believe but don't quote me on this one weddings on the beach have to be done by 10 - 10:30ishpm, in the garden by 11 but in the ballroom there are no restrictions

Thanks Jes!  I was getting worried that the ballrooms may not look good but I'm glad to hear that there is plenty of space and not as many restrictions.

Your welcome! and I have even better news I was able to find pictures for you they are from none other than one of my favorites, Elizabeth Medina. The first one has one really good shot of the ballroom. I love the light up dance floor and you can even add the lounge area in the ballroom to around the dance floor. Also check out the really beautiful candle chandliers.

Wow, those pictures are amazing!  I was origannly going to go with one of the resort photogs,because I was quoted $350.00 for outside vendors, but now I think it would be worth the extra money to have her as our photograher.  Thank you so much for that post, you have been so helpful!!
