We settled on Wyndham Nassau Resort! It is an amazing location. The wedding planner Lisa Harris is amazing and she will really work with you as far as pricing. If you want any custom things she will make it work! Let me know if you need any recommendations for vendors, because I have found quite a few. And I have had bad experiences with some of the other planners in the surrounding hotels so if you need any feedback I would love to give you a hand! Happy Planning!

Is the Wyndham Nassau Resort all inclusive? I'm going to go snooping around the site.  I actually have been looking at RIU Palace Paradise Island.  Looks very nice as well.  We were going to do Sandals but the reviews are scaring me.  And I'd like for our guests to have some fun.  Can def do that at Paradise Island.

The Wyndham Nassau Resort is not exactly all inclusive. I worked out an arrangement with the hotel where I have that included in my rate. I was looking at the RIU on Paradise island myself- I love Paradise Island. I love Atlantis, but their rates are over the top. Depending on your budget, the RIU may be the place for you. I checked it out and several reviews and it was not for me. I want my guests to be comfortable and have some fun as well plus with the economy out of control as it is, I don't want the price of coming to my wedding to be outrageous! I hope you choose the best place for you and your fiance!

RandB101010 thanks for the heads up! The Wyndham is closed every September for renovation so I will be one of the first weddings after their September break. I speak with the wedding planner Lisa on a weekly basis she is very attentive and answers ALL of my questions. She has even gone so far as to give me her cell phone number for direct contact with her. The staff is amazing and have been so kind and receptive to me. I am very happy with my choice!

The Wyndham is always renovating...but it's a great hotel - my dad and his girlfriend stayed there last week and he enjoyed it...they along with a couple other hotels close for most of August and September because it's Nassau's off season - it's the hurricane season (although they don't really get them them as bad a flordia and most people are not traveling there when it's hot at home - that's why it's the cheapest time to travel there - but since the economy of the island is based mostly on tourism most of them suffer for a while...My FI drives taxi and he says a lot of them work 12/16 hour days to make what they made on a regular day and even sleep in their cars cause fares are scarce...I know that's a lot of extra info but when I told him about your post Mrs Jones he says Bahamas will tell you anything you want to hear so they can make their money - he said he was there a few weeks ago and there was still wires on the ground but that it's a great place for your wedding...I can't wait till he helps me with my brochures... He broke my heart when he told me the little kids selling me bracelets for their education near the dock were just hustling me and make two or three hundred a day hustling tourists - I just knew I was helping that sweet girl out...I'm still excited about moving there :)

Dominiqueamber I have been to the Wyndham many times and I have family down there, so I am up on the way the hotel looks on a daily basis. My wedding planners are amazing and they have promised me all their assistance. I know they are in sales and thats what they are trained to do, but I know that I will have a wonderful wedding regardless. I dont need it to be perfect, I just want it to be memorable and a fun time for our family and friends. Thanks for all the great advice and happy moving!

Mrs Jones to be - your wedding will be perfect! I'm sorry if my "tone" didn't come across right - I was agreeing with R&B that they are always renovating... I'm not saying don't get married there, I think Wyndham is a great hotel, I just didn't want them to be taking advantage of you because your a bride living in another country...I'm glad you've seen it and have family to help you along the way...October is a great month because your family and friends traveling will get the best prices on flights! Plus it will be warm but not sticky, sweaty hot...I'm certain you will have a beautiful memorable wedding! Congrats! :)
