Congrats and welcome to the forum!!  I've been to Cancun and it is a PARTY town LOL.  It's beautiful but my travel agent told me that she didn't like the beach very much at Dreams Cancun.  It was on my list at one time but because I am very much a beach person I switched to Dominican Republic.  Good luck to you, it is sooooo hard to pick a resort.  Have you checked out Dreams La Romana?  That's where I'm getting married and the gazebo there is gorgeous!!!  In the dominican you don't have to get blood tests to get married, just an idea...

Welcome! It is hard deciding on a resort, they're all so beautiful. You've come to the right place though.

Dreams Cancun and Dreams Riviera Cancun were high on our list as they both have great settings and family friendly. So my vote is dreams cancun
