DIY Wedding Arch

Recommended Posts

OK ladies I have finally finished what I think will be our wedding arch. I wish that I could've taken it outside but it's rainy here in Chicago. Please tell me what you think. Do you like it with silk flowers or without? Maybe I'll splurge and add real flowers. I've added the pics to my style gallery page: Jenetta's (jpmo) style

Well it's actually constructed of pvc pipeing that I've cut into smaller, packable lengths. I've also thought of just buying the pvc at the HD down there.

Very pretty Jenetta. I think I like it with the flowers. I like the palm leaf, the rest are kinda hard to see. What kind of frame is it on? Is that satin? You did a great job!

By the way, I love the brick in your apartment (or house?). I used to live in an apartment like that and thought it was so cool!

Thanks I think I picked up every single white or green flower/leaf that looked tropical in the store.I am ashamed to show you a close up since I just threw that together. Since the flowers seem to be winning hands down,I might just add that to the budget and use real blooms.

The material is a satin. Total cost for all materials is about $70. If this didn't work then I was going to get giant urns filled with flowers from the coordinator... yeah $230 saved.

As far as the brick, it's by basement. I have exposed brick in certain parts of the house and I think it's pretty cool too. Kind of urban, contemporary!

I love the sating and yes, definitely splurge on real flowers. Big lilies aren't that expensive and the smell is incredible!

Great Job! Now can you explain to us how you did it? Or better yet.. would you consider selling after you use? I would be very interested!
