I'm with you girls.  I've been getting my hair chemically straightened for years and it wouldn't hold any of the curls during my hair trial.

 

This is the style I was going for

 

So, my stylist is having me purchase 14" and 16" hair extension clips to curl and add so it will add not only the curls, but some length and fullness.  She suggested I get them so that it would be an exact match to my hair color.  

 

I live in manhattan and there's a place called Wigs and Plus in Union Sq. that is the place to go to for extensions.
