Shoes!!

I am wearing ballet slippers as a tribute to my mom who is a professionally training ballerina.  Dance was such a big part of my upbringing that I couldn't see not wearing the slippers on my wedding day.  I am not sure if I am going to embellish them yet.

 

Daisymable:  No question is stupid.  You are totally right, if you went from a flat to a 4 inch heel, you would have to alter your dress somewhere in between.

I went barefoot for the ceremony & reception. But putting on a small heel for our dance worked out really nicely because my dress was shortened (ever so slightly) and made it much less likely that me (or hubs) would step on it.

My AHR shoes are 4" heels and I'm wearing the same dress for our beach wedding, so I've found some wedge flip flops that are 2" and I'm just going to have the dress altered to 3".

I'm wearing these heels for our photos at the resort prior to the wedding on the beach, and for dinner afterwards. Going barefoot for our ceremony, and might possibly buy some slippers as an alternative. Love, love, LOVE Zappos.com! Best customer service and return policy, hands down!!
