I am getting married there next May.  I did a site visit in March and was going to go with Paradisus Palma Real and then we went to Moon Palace and were blown away.  It is definitely massive but I loved the main area with the different restaurants and completely lost my s**t when I saw the spa.  I was nervous about the rates because they are a little on the expensive side but I am able to get the $1500 room credit special they are using applied for my guests.  Let me know if you have any other questions or need any help with anything!

Thanks!  Was there anything for kids there?  Pool, activities, anything?  A few of my close friends have small children/babies.  Also, do they have a chappel, gazebo or what else for the ceremonies? 

 

We're going at the end of October to check out a few resorts.  Right now, I'm leaning towards Barcelo Bavaro Princess Deluxe because the wedding planner there is incredibly helpful already.  I'm only a little nervous because of all the bad reviews on tripadvisor.com.  But then again, I looked at Melia which I loved and that one also has bad reviews.  I have to see Moon Palace thought.  It looks amazing online.

They have a kids waterpark thing equipped with a slide and everything.  I also saw a kids type play area at the main building.  I read something on TripAdvisor about daycare services as well.  PM me if you want to see some pictures

Hello Everyone,

 

I think we are in the process of booking Moon Palace for November 2011.  If anyone has any info or pictures to share I would love to see them.  We are a little scared of how big the resort seems, but really love what I have read so far with the Palace resorts wedding packages.

I am toying between the Moon Palace in Cancun and the one in Punta Cana. I LOVE them both, but it will most likely come down to the flight prices. I have a friend who is a member so the 20% discount on rooms will really come in handy.
