Hey Everyone,

 

I am getting married at Iberostar Tucan May 3, 2011.  I have not found a lot of information on here from other brides that were married here, or are getting married here.  It would be great to chat with some other Tucan brides!!

The WC at Iberostar Tucan is Gabriela Palacios.  Her email is [email protected].  She has been really great to work with so far.  She usually always responds within 24 hours anytime I send her an email.  Are you getting married at the Tucan?

I am getting married there January 6th 2011...just a few months away.  I will second that Gabriella is amazing!  No request has been too much for her (including asking for pictures of all the restaurants in the resort).

munt0001 - Contrats!!  It's so nice to talk to others getting married at the Tucan!!   There are not many of us on here.  Do you have everything planned out for your wedding day yet?  I would love to hear your plans.  I think we are going to have dinner at the steakhouse, we are not sure if we will have a reception or not since there will only be like 20 of us.

Hello everyone! Anyone have any input on the difficulty of having a civil ceremony in Mexico? My fiance and I are from the US and we are looking at doing a destination wedding at the Tucan, but I want to get married and do the whole "for better, for worse...I do...etc" thing in front of my family and friends. I am wondering if this is how the civil ceremony works?? And also....any input on the Iberostar Tucan would be helpful....how are the guest rooms? Did having the volleyball court right next to the wedding ceremony affect the privacy at all?? HELP!

My fiance and I are hoping to get married at the Tucan in November 2011 as well but we have been trying to get into contact with the wedding planner for over two months and STILL haven't received any response from her.  I have emailed her and so has my travel agent.  We're starting to get really frustrated because my godfather (who may end up being the one to walk me down the aisle) needs to put in for vacation in two weeks and we still don't have a date set.  GRRR.  I really don't want to change to a different hotel because my cousin was married at the Tucan a few years ago and I loved it but I am at my wit's end.

I am really surprised.  So far Gabriela has been great to work with.  Whenever I send her an email, she gets back to me by the next business day at the latest.  Are you emailing [email protected]?
