Well, I packed up all of my OOT bag stuff last night and gave it to my mother to bring so that is one really big thing crossed off my list.  Yay!  This weekend is going to be spent packing us both up and trying to figure out how I am going to take my dress with me.  Getting very excited!  How is everyone else?

Hi Ladies,

 

We've had quite a busy weekend.  It's Bank Holiday over here & FIL's 60th Birthday, so we all had a hog roast with around 70 people there.  It was fantastic though the weather left a little to be desired.  We're still waiting for summer to arrive over here.  I'm doubting we're going to see any sun until we actually arrive in Antigua!!

 

I also start a new job on Wednesday so have been preparing & getting a little nervous about that.  It could have been better planned really as I'll only be there for 8 weeks before having to take 2 weeks off the wedding.  

 

We spoke with the 'delightful' Dania on the phone on Friday to pay our balance.  I find her so frustrating at times.  I asked her about the flower ceremony but she told me I could only have a dressed rose.  I'm not sure this is accurate so have decided to wait til we get to Sandals & see what's available there.  I so don't trust her ablility I'm afaid. 

 

We still have all the music to sort out yet & to find Mike a white belt.  They're really hard to come by over here so we may end up looking on Ebay. 

 

 

Sarah - Only a week to go.  OMG I'm so jealous.  We have a whole 9 weeks left & it feels like a lifetime.  Glad you've got your OOT bags crossed off the list.  Not sure if you guys have anything similar, but we have these boxes you can take on the aircraft with you as hand luggage.  They're not too expenive - £46.00, not sure what that equates to in dollars though.   All the major airlines accept them & they seem ideal as they're all packed up for you etc.  What day do you leave & what time is your wedding ceremony planned for?

OMG it has been a busy 7 days with family stuff and everything else.  Had a fabulous holiday weekend with lots of sun!!  Well ladies went to try on "the dress" and loved it however was told that the soonest it would come in is 12 to 15 weeks!!!  I ONLY HAVE 7 WEEKS UNTIL WE GET ON THE PLANE!!  So to make a long story short, I had a wonderful and very helpful consultant who pulled about 15 dresses for me to try and the very last one made me cry when I put it on.  It was the one.  I guess they're right when they say you will know when it is the right dress.  It is beautiful.  They wouldn't let me take pictures at the salon but will post some when I pick it up.  I'm sooooo excited

 

Sweetness:  I hope you had a fabulous wedding and can't wait to hear all about it!!!  and Pictures!!!

 

Sarah:  I know you won't read this because you are probably on a plane right now...I wish I was heading there with you   I know you will have a wonderful wedding with lots of happy tears.  I can’t wait to hear all about it and see lots of pictures.  Can’t wait to hear about the scuba diving too as we want to do that when we go also! 

 

Alex:  I guess it's just you and me girl LOL...7 weeks seems so long right now.  I am going to email you the cover page that you are suppose to fax with your documents.  It has everything listed there that you need to fill out and send and it also has the fax number on it.  I will forward Ms. Garcia's email so you can ask her to confirm everything is good.  I am the same way I would rather do too much and make sure that we are okay than not and get there and find out we can't get married because someone didn't do something.  Oh and the smores thing.  Go get you a box of graham crackers, a hershey bar and a bag of large marshmallows.  put the marshmallow in between the graham crackers with the hershey bar in between also and zap it in the microwave for about 15-20 seconds...and enjoy:)  Not the same as over a fire but you get the jest!  My bachelorette party will be the weekend of the 4th of July as that is when my best friend is coming into town.  I can't wait.  I hope you get to have you girls day even though it was canceled but I know you will have a blast on your hen night!!!  We will be in Antigua before too long

Another warm day here in Virginia ... yesterday got up to 97 and suppose to be even hotter today.  I may need to go to Antigua to cool off

I started my new job today so shattered tonight.  They all seem really nice which is always good.

 

Viki -Glad to hear you’ve had  a good week with great weather.  It’s been horrendous here.  I cant wait for summer to come. 

 

Yep, just you & me to go hun.  I’m the last in line.  9 weeks today for me.  You have no idea how much I’m wishing time away.  7 weeks for you....so so exciting. 

Thanks for the email.  It took me a little while to realise what it was.  I thought Dania had my date wrong & was starting to panic.  Lol. 

 

The smores sound fantastic.  Looking forward to trying them. Weekend of 4^th July for your party, what do you have planned?   I just want to be in Antigua RIGHT NOW!!!

 

So thrilled you’ve found your dress, but sorry to hear you had a bit of a nightmare getting there.  I was really doubtful when people said to me, you’ll know which is the right dress & as you’ve just discovered, they’re right.  Cant wait to see the pics.  Are you able to find any online at all & when are you able to pick it up?

 

Heather – I’ll bet you’re having a fantastic time out there.  Looking forward to hearing all about it when you get back.

We just got back, and All I can say is that it is AMAZING!!!! Everything was wonderful.We are just getting home and I am trying to unpack and also trying to get back to the real world lol .

So I will post pics and a review in the next day or so. But to everyone, Don't worry, the wedding department is Great and the resort is Beautiful ,I wish I was still there.

My wedding day was like a dream come true and I cant wait to share pictures with everyone. The bon fire was also Amazing as well as the rehearsal dinner. My guest had a Fantastic time and we are still getting phone calls about how Great everything was.

47 days until we get on the plane!!! 

 

Sorry Alex, I didn't mean to scare you lol, but wanted to get it to you.  I pick up the dress around the 17th of this month.  They may let me take pictures now since I have paid for it but they wouldn't before.  I will get a pic up one way or the other.  For our girls day/night we are having massages, mani/pedis and then out on the town for drinks, drinks, oh and more drinks hahaha.  We are renting a hotel room downtown so no worries about driving   Can't wait!!!

 

Heather, so glad you had a wonderful time.  Alex and I are waiting patiently, well not so patiently, for our turn   How was the photography?  Can't wait to see the pictures!!
